If you’re looking for peaceful vacation with warm family atmosphere - Hotýlek pod smrkem is the place for you.
We stayed (7 adults and 3 children) in this hotel ran by charming Lenka a Petr for 6 nights (last week).
Kids were always busy, playing in the games room or outside in the yard (equipped with trampoline, swing, sand box, chalk board etc.).
We (the adults) enjoyed lovely walks in the woods outside the hotel and the SPA (extra charge).
Breakfast was always fresh, diversified and tasty. Refrigerator, microwave and cattle are available for guests use in the common area (as well as beer and cold drinks – extra charge).
The hotel is “soaking” in nature, while being only 15 minutes’ walk form city’s center.
Lenka and Petr did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Excellent hotel – highly recommended

Good location, clean big rooms, new bathroom. To be improved - ventilation inn the rooms (ideally air condition), shower instead of bath, common area for sitting outside the rooms at the evening, help with tips to day tours and restaurants. Overall recommended

Our stay at Hotel Pod Smrkem was excellent. We will certainly recommend to all. Lenka and Petr welcomed us all one by one the minute we arrived and during all the stay made sure we have good time - while in the guesthouse and in our outdoor trips.
We stayed for 5 nights, 3 families with four 13 years old kids. We got 3 adorable units. All units were large, clean, comfortable, well lighted. Bathrooms were perfect. Breakfast was excellent. The game room was like a dream for the kids. The property it self is handled perfectly - flowers, nice yard next to the stream (with seating places and tramploine), balcony, common areas - all are very welcoming. The guesthouse location was very good for us. Harrachov tourist area was few minutes walking.
Lenka effort to make sure we have the best time included proactively helping us every day to plan the following day, restaurants recommendations, laundry, breakfast on the last day when we needed to leave at 6:30am - very much appreciated.

I was on a day's hike with my 6-year old daughter when she urgently had to poo. This hotel was the only one we could see, so we went in and I explained the situation to the owners, an older couple of which the woman spoke English quite well. I kindly asked if we could please use to the toilet and offered to pay for it.The owners refused this. My daughter was visibly miserable, I repeated that I was willing to pay, and still they refused to help us, claiming they only have toilets in the rooms and all of those were occupied. I find it extremely hard to believe that a hotel with a restaurant and a wellness area, offering to organize company events doesn't have any toilets accessible outside the rooms. They flagrantly refused to help a 6-year old that had to go to the toilet. Where's your heart?

Very rude and unwelcoming owners

Me and my familly spent there one week in February 2016. It is brand new bed and breakfast. Rooms are clean and large with en-suit bathroom. The atmosphere is friendly, we felt there like at home. There are only 9 rooms. The owners Peter and Lenka are extremely nice and cary. Breakfast was perfect,tasty, Lenka even prepared hot chocholate for our daughter every morning.There is tee/coffee making facilities in the launge and also tap where you can serve beer during the whole day. You just make a note to the paper on the wall and pay at the end of your stay.
There is a playing area for children in the room when breakfast is served and also a separate playroom. It is close to the ski lift at Ryzoviste (it takes max. 5-10 minutes).
We would definitely come back.

Perfect winter holiday

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful owners. Especially our kids loved it there - small playground next to mountain stream. There is even fireplace for free use, one night we enjoyed all grilling of sausages. Not far away from Harrachov center and great starting point for tracks or biking.
