Small but perfectly formed room in a lovely old building. Very comfortable and really convenient for central Zagreb. Right next to a good market (daily vegetable market - Sunday flea market) which means the noise starts early but unless you want to sleep in it's not a problem. On the 2nd floor - so not for the immobile. Landlady is wonderful and verbal helpful. 

Great position 

Ilıcki Place was a perfect place to stay. It is a small hotel with just two rooms. The owners also stay in the same flat and always ready for any kind of help. The room was located in an otantic building which gives makes you feel that you are staying in a place with a soul. It was furnished with great pleasure and really clean. Eventhough it is much different from  the commercial hotels, it had every sort of technical equipment needen- a cattle, a refrigator, LCD tv and a very good wi-fi connection. the hosts of the hotel (wife and husband) are really very good people. Really helpful about everything with a very nice attitude. They were even very nice to send me the small things I forgot there without asking for any payment. Also, the hostel has a very good location in the city center. you can reach to every place to visit by walking. I recommend Ilıcki Place strongly!!

A Peaceful and cosy room with excellent hosts!

Fabulous location, super lovely hosts, clean and cozy room. What more can one ask? While there are no lifts to the second floor (where rooms are located), the hostess puts one to shame by effortlessly hauling the luggage up. This fabulous hostess, Munira served me breakfast on a tray, bought me beer, and booked me the day tour I wanted. What takes the cake is that she sent her husband to check if I had gotten the directions right and was waiting for the tour bus at the right spot!! 
I am humbled by the simple kindness and trust I received and give the Ilicki Plac nothing but the best rating! I can't wait to go back!

Location, room, hosts

Stayed in room overlooking the Brtanski square, clean and tidy with good shower w/c area within the room and parking just round the corner by the theatre.

Britanski square has great coffee bars and a really good pastry/bakers shop along the south edge.

Easy flat 20 minute walk into main square area of Zagreb along one of the main shopping areas of the city centre or short tram trip.

Very surprised at the good prices for Zagreb, expected it to be dear as it is the capital city, but a lot better value than the Dubrovnik area, which itself isn't that dear in most places.

Great Location

The location is great, just a 15 minutes walk from the city center. There is also a tramway stop just across the street. There is a market, 3 cafés and a bakery in front of the building so you have plenty of places to eat. The host, Munira, is very nice and helpful. She even helped us carry our (big and heavy) suitcases over the stairs. The room was super clean and confortable, with great wifi signal. Really feels like home.

Feels like home

3 apartments privately run by a lovely, helpful couple. 2 floors up our room overlooked Britanski Trg and the daily market. The room itself has character and is airy with a high ceiling. There is a fridge with cheese and jams and a kettle. It has a private shower/toilet. As an apartment you make your own bed. The bed itself is comfortable. Several nice touches included the owners leaving us rolls for breakfast and cans of beer.
Credit cards are not accepted if you haven’t paid in advance so have enough Kuna or Euros.
Right next to the outbound tram stop although many of Zagreb’s sights are within walking distance.
Cafe Bonk which is downstairs is a good place for breakfast.
