Hosts were very nice and the property was very clean. Amazing view of Dubrovnik and the Adriatic from being up on Mount Srd, only a 20-25 walk to the Old Town

The apartment was a little tricky to find initially and not easy for transport, but once found, the 20 min walk down into the old town was easy to navigate; although be prepared for many steps.The location was quiet and the host Maria was very welcoming, friendly and helpful.The room was adequate size with comfortable facilities and great bathroom.We enjoyed our 2 night break very much.

The quality of the renovation and cleanliness was great. It felt like a hotel room but in a private home. The only problems i had was with communication prior to my arrival.  I had asked for an early luggage dropoff and never received any confirmation over the last few days prior. The actual entry door is also not clearly labeled so its confusing. An actual picture and map would of been needed to make it easier to find.

The Owner is Amazing, very kind and service minded. She gave us coffe, juice and fruits during our visit. A wonderful host. The room was good too and the bed really comfortble. The house is on the mountain so we had too walk alot but it was worth it. But the bus goes nearby

The host was lovely and accommodating and did so much to make our stay memorable. We would love to go back there.

When we arrived at Rooms Batina Maria, our host, could not have been any nicer. She showed us to our car parking spot, which was on the main road above the apartment. The apartment was a few steps down from this, and once going through the main doorway we found ourselves on a beautiful terrace. As it was extremely hot, Maria brought us cold drinks, some chocolate and offered us a taste of her homemade aperitif, which was so lovely. She gave us a guide book and talked us through a map of the town briefly. She then showed us around the apartment and our room. Every room was super clean and so homely - could not complain in any respect. The property is located a good 20 minute walk to the old town but a bus stops just outside if you would prefer. The bed was comfy and the area is safe and quiet. We had 2 great nights sleep here. On our last night, Maria again gave us more of her apertif and we had a lovely half hour with her on her balcony talking about each other. What an amazing view from there. She even gave us a small bottle to take home! Have to disagree with the other reviews on here, puts this place in such a bad light and so unfairly. If you are easygoing and sociable you will have no problem here. It really was a perfect stay and end to our trip. Thank you so much! Adam and Sophie

Lovely place to stay

We stayed at Batina Rooms for two nights in late August 2018. 
The room we stayed in is one out of two rooms that Marija rents out in her private apartment. We had our own private room and got acess to the livingroom and the balcony with the most spectacular view over Dubrovnik. We booked the room on booking.com where it said that the bathroom is private, but I wouldn’t call it that. There is only one bathroom in the apartment and you have to pass through a hallway between the bathroom and your room. If you’re not okay with this arrangment maybe this isn’t the room for you. 
The apartment was kinda hard to find, the street on which the apartment is located is more a narrow alley with stairs. The walk to old town Dubrovnik takes about 20-25 minutes but there is a busstop really close to the apartment. 
The room was clean, had AC and the Wi-Fi worked really well. 
The best part of our stay wasn’t the room or the weather in Croatia but our lovely landlady herself. When we got to the apartment Marija showed us out on the balcony where she offered us cold drinks, homebaked pastry and a homemade liqour made from walnuts. The morning we left she made us coffee and tea and send us of with two big bunches of home grown grapes. Marija is the sweetest lady I have ever met! 
If you are okay with the not so private bathroom and dont mind a short walk to get to old town then I would definitly recomend Batina rooms.

Cute room in private apartment

If you use Google Maps to get to this accomodation, ignore it's directions to take you up tight hilly streets, stick to the main road, park on the side of the main road (everyone does it!) & walk down to the apartment. We learnt that lesson the hard way!! When we arrived at Rooms Batina Maria, our host, could not have been any nicer. She showed us around her home, which you share with her, & led us out onto the balcony. As it was extremely hot, she brought us cold drinks & fruit & left us to relax on the balcony. She gave us a guide book and talked us through a map of the town briefly. Every room was super clean and while appeared basic or old fashioned it was all we needed. I don't think some previous reviewers had realised that you share the bathroom (it is not clear on the booking.com property info), if this makes you feel uncomfortable do not stay here but we had no issue with it. The property is located a good 20 minute walk to the old town involving stairs but a bus stops just outside if you would prefer. We slept comfortably here. On our last night, Maria again gave us juice & fruit and we had a really nice chat with her on her balcony; the balcony has such a lovely view! Thank you Maria!
