The hotel is well located. It is very close to the airport shuttle station. It is very close to the old city of Qingdao. All attractions are within walking distance.The main station is around the corner.The bus station is opposite. Very quiet hotel, had a room with sea view!A clean, simple hotel.Daily towel change.Bed linen on request.The breakfast buffet is a bit western and a lot of country food. There is also coffee, tea and cow's milk. There is also marmalade and yogurt. Breakfast can be served until 9.30am.The reception was very open, but there were very few excursions and attractions.

A week at the Jinjiang Inn on Henan Road

This place is located in a quiet zone but yet a short walk to the cathedral, Zhan bridge, railway station, convenient stores, great restaurant and the food street. The room is clean with comfortable beds and pillows.  Staff are helpful but they can be a bit more friendly. Our communication was mainly done via the translation apps as we don't speak Chinese and they didn't speak much English.

There's also a travel agency at the front of the hotel and they did a superb job helping us with a trip to Laoshan. I'd of course recommend this hotel to others.

A wonderful stay in Qingdao

Interesting place, beds are rock hard but after you wake up it is though you have a new lease on life .
wifi can be 50/50 , social media such as facebook doesnt work and is monitored . probably best to have whats app on or viber.

great stay

Upon arrival from Busan at the Qingdao airport, we hopped onto a metered taxi that took us to this hotel some 35 mins later, Rmb $96. But there was a taxi strike a few days later so we took the Airport bus 702 from the base of the Catholic Church (5 mins walk from Hotel) when we depart (buy $20 bus tickets from a Hostel some 10 steps away from the Airport bus stop). Buses depart twice each hour, at .10 and .40 respectively. About 1-1.5 hour's journey. 

For the price we had paid, we could not ask for more - rather new spacious Twin A (upgraded from Twin B upon arrival) with a Queen and a Single bed, comfy beds not hard at all, string aircon, safe, kettle with coffee & tea but no minibar. There were also lots of storage spaces with some clever planning needed. 

Sound proofing was good, too, so we had  no problem sleeping even though our room faces onto the road. Ask for hind rooms if you desire a totally quiet room. Good wifi in room. 

Breakfasts was subsidized at Rmb$20 each pax each day but avoid foods like cut fruits, steam sweet corn & sweet potatoes and hard boiled eggs. And you will be fine. 

Staff are all friendly and helpful but they would ask for a $200 deposit upon check in. Room cards also needed to be scanned in the lifts when ascending - great security! 

The attached tour agency was good with tours to whole day Laoshan tours at Rmb$180 each but its very tiring climbing up the mountain after a cable car ride. Go on a cooler day, bring water and wear comfy shoes. With expensive optional tours, cable car rides and lunch all thrown in, this tour is quite costly, about Rmb$500 each person - quite expensive for China!!! 

All in all, we have had a great 5 nights stay here. Would try to stay with this Jinjiang chain whenever we visit China in the future.
