We really liked this place. The location was fantastic. Right in the old town, so you basically just step out the front door and it's all there. Brilliant for breakfast, dinner and sightseeing in the old town. The service was fantastic. There were English speaking staff. They organised for us to get on a bus out to the Tiger Leaping Gorge 2 day hike, and held our main bags for us for this time. The place has a nice little enclosed courtyard. Has a nice little common area too. The place was very quiet overnight. We had our own room, and it was clean (unlike the hostel we stayed at the night before - we left it for that reason). What more can you ask from a hostel. Still have their business card. The card actually lists their name on the card as "Lijiang Ancient Town International Youth Hostel" at 44 Mishi Alley, xinyi street Lijiang old town. Telephone 86-088-5180124. There were lots of hostels in the old town and we met a couple other people that were happy with their choice too. So I guess shop around :)
