Small and a bit dated but very clean (a lovely surprise for a motel!), super comfortable, really convenient (fridge and microwave), owners are very friendly and helpful, and great price! Would absolutely stay again!

Fantastic place to stay!

Unfortunately halfway through our road trip around BC and Alberta our car had some issues and we had to stop in Radium to get it looked at/fixed. The day we arrived was the day before the Classic Car show which takes place in this town every year so the whole place was booked up. We had nowhere to stay and no car to take us to another town so were really lucky when we showed up at the Sunset and they had a room for the night. 
The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating and we told them all about our car issues. Richard took a look at the car for us and told us that it might actually be an easy fix, he then proceeded to drive us a town over to Canadian tire so we could get some coolant for the car and spent probably over an hour tinkering with it and fixing it! He even topped up our oil for us (as we had neglected to -  oops). Such kind people, who saved us a hefty garage bill and allowed our road trip to continue on without much delay. 
The room we were given was great, really spacious and clean, bed was very comfy and bathroom was really clean. I would highly recommend staying here - it felt like a home away from home and we can't thank Richard and Cathy enough for their help and generosity. 
We continued on our road trip and thanks to Richard's help our car has made it back to Vancouver in one piece without any more issues!!!

Wonderful owners!

If I have to mention a negative, the only thing comes to mind is that we did not stay longer.
Lovely place and our room was almost a compleet home, it had all the ameneties you need and a very friendly staff.
It is a bit oldfasioned, but everything was clean and in working order.

Lovely place

Great owners, they were so accommodating. We booked online and had to cancel our stay, they cancelled it free of charge. Than we realized we actually did need a room but wouldn’t be in till late. They kept our room for us and upon arrival (which was late) they got us in our room and were more than friendly. Gave us a better deal than online and a better room. Than gave us a good deal again. Great service and I would totally stay here everytime I come thru Radium. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. And even let us check out late. Rooms are kind of out dated but who cares. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that were brand new that I paid 300 dollars for but had crap service and left upset.

Wedding party

The new owners are awesome! They gave us a free upgrade and took care of our every need and that’s not always easy with my diverse family. 
It’s not a perfect place but very clean. You definitely get your money worth. I have stayed here 4 times in 5 years. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean and cozy place to stay then you have found it. If you want fancy then go pay more somewhere else as you get what you pay for. 

Great Value

Stayed at this quaint little spot off the hiway . very clean .new owners are awesome ..may be a 3 star place but with definite5 star attitude. Was injured on my bike and these people went above and beyond to assist me. Will be returning again next summer . watch for the updates this place makes ..going to be great .

Biker friendly

We just returned from a motorcycle trip. We found this place last minute. Nice place. Extremely clean. Very friendly owners. I would highly recommend this place. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard to partake in a beverage. Short walk to Main Street. There was even a bbq to use if needed. 

Awesome 

OK, so this place is definitely very dated and need of some updates. However, we stayed there with our three kids last summer the new owners are a very nice family. The room was very clean and they were very accommodating. You can't go wrong with the price and a good location close to shops and restaurants. Suite our needs for our overnight stop.

Clean and good hosts for a budget friendly stop

I stayed in a double room with kitchenette with my parents. They have stayed here 3-4 times in the past. We basically needed a place to come back to in order to prepare meals & sleep so this was perfect, clean and had everything we needed. Plus, it's pet-friendly so we were able to bring our dog with us.

Good location near the main street with a few restaurants, grocery store and other conveniences within a short walk. There's a nice walking neighbourhood behind the motel with a small park, kids park, and exercise park near the newly-built community centre.

Air Conditioning works well, though the room kept cool and we barely needed it.
