Unpon arrival, the place looked beautiful. However, the staff are not the friendliest. The stay was okay. We was not informed that checkout is 12:00 noon, the receptionist knocked on our door and said that we needed to pay an extra 60lev and said that on the card holder it said that checkout was at 12:00 noon. However, on the card they gave us it said 12:00am is checkout . The receptionist then went to say that 12:00am is noon in Bulgaria, but we are originally from the same region as Bulgaria so we know that this is incorrect and that 12:00am is not 12:00pm and midday.

Upon arrival, the place was beautiful. However, the staff was not the friendliest, especially the receptionist. We often received dirty looks and was not informed that we had to checkout at 12:00pm noon. The receptionist knocked on our door and said we had to pay an extra 60 lev, we was not told upon check-in and on the card we received it said to checkout by 12:00am so we were confused. The receptionist then went to tell us that in Bulgaria it’s different and 12:00am is 12:00pm noon, however we are originally from this region so we know this information is not correct and do not appreciate being lied too. However, the gentlemen serving us in the restaurants were lovely.

Staff not the friendliest

I had a pleasant stay at Green Life Resort. The building and the rooms are well furnished and I had a great view of the mountains and hills from the balcony, the food and the breakfast were fresh and nicely cooked, the staff were friendly and helpful, being close to Pirin Park and the surrounding woodlands was great and the town was easily accessible from the hotel. The indoor pool, although it was clean and nicely designed, with the loungers at the side of the pool and towels at the station, the pool could have been warmer, I found it a touch too cold. The spa area was clean but a few of the facilities were out of use, the sauna and steam room were working though and I enjoyed them. There were no problems booking my airport transfer upon leaving either. I'd definitely go back to stay at Green Life.

Nice

We stayed in the main building, and everything was great - a stylish room with comfortable beds, powerful shower, very clean and in good condition.  Our balcony (room 409) was on facing south, up to the mountains (view slightly spoiled by the enormous St George's palace hotel, but hey ho), it was also wider than most because it was on the end, where the roof slopes.  It was nice that each balcony had a clothes drier, so we could hang out our swimming costumes etc, as well as a table and two chairs. 
The breakfast food was great - quite a lot of variety and lots of it, all from a help-yourself-buffet.  We had paid for half board, and when the hotel was quiet we chose 4 courses from a written menu (2 or 3 options for each course), and when it was busy they put on a buffet.  Again, lots of choice, including excellent salads every day.  And staff were friendly and able to speak English (though it was mainly Bulgarians staying when we were there).
There are good walks you can do from the hotel, into the forest area just to the southwest, or round into woods and meadows and enter the town from the east.  So many wild flowers and butterflies (in June!)  Some people might find it a bit far from town, however - if you want nightlife then you'll want to be closer to the heart of things in the town.  The hotel has a nice informal lawn area at the back where children can play, along with it's adventure playground thingy.  And runs a 5 day  children's club ("scouts") during summer.

The stole our car from the parking of the hotel  and no one care for us. The hotel doesnt take responsibility for the theft.  They didnt even refund our stay. They manager wohldnt show up for three hours. And he didnt even care when we informed him what happened.  Unacceptable.

We supposed to check out today, unfortunately we went out to find it, in the car parking of the resort and we did not find it, from that time nobody came to find as we ask the general manager and they saying from the reception he will come,  by this time they haven’t come to ask to us even a coffee if we need, NO service, NO care of the guests at all! 

Imagine if someone will have a accident here

In the reception they are not helpful at all , they didnt even refund our room , the manager showed up after 3 hours.

Hotel is well located in the upper part of Bansko, yet not at a walking distance to the slopes. 
It’s got a free parking available on site. It seems there’s plenty of spots.
Reception area is nice and cozy. It’s got a fireplace to kick back around it. 
Rooms feel a tad worn out. Floors and walls as well as some furniture could use some renovation. 
Breakfast can certainly be better. There’s a wonderful choice of food but quality wise is on the average side. 
The hotel did not issue any paperwork on checkout which I find strange. 

There’s a playroom on-site. Did not use the SPA facilities. 

All in all not bad for the price paid.

Decent hotel for the price paid

We choose a superior room that was ok, found out that others room were not very big and clean like ours. The staff really need to be more polite or helpful, most of time ignoring guests.
Breakfast was ok but not proper for a 4*. Spa area was not fulfilled their own commercial, they didn’t respect closing hours, they didn’t offer towels because the spa reception is almost empty all the time ( maybe in the winter it’s not like this ) 
All the machines from the gym are not working , are broken or have malfunctions.

3*  hotel , not 4*

When you see the photos and most of the reviews, you think it’s a great hotel on an amazing deal. Well, it turns out we were really mistaken!  
We had booked a studio, because we wanted to have some space. When we arrived, we got the keys and we were surprised when we saw the “studio”. On the website they say it’s 35 sq.m and thats a lie. We got a little room-like “studio” with a tiny, old and dirty bathroom. Don’t trust the photos, there’s no new furnishing and two sinks in the bathrooms.
Anyway, we decided to stay there, because it’s just the room, we were only going to sleep there. 
Next bad thing was the elevator. When you go in, it falls down a little (10-15 cm) and then comes back up suddenly. It also does not show on which floor you are. 
The next disappointment came on breakfast. There are people going out of the breakfast area with bags and hands full of bananas. The variety of food is really, really limited. The quality is even worse. The personnel on breakfast is far from polite and helpful. 
Another thing- for the course of less than two days, the electricity stopped 2-3 times!
The spa and wellness area are ridiculous. The indoor pool is dirty, the water is cold and unclear. You can’t even see the bottom of the pool that’s deep just around  1.20m. 
In the description of the hotel it’s clearly said that there is an aroma sauna, finland sauna, steam bath and a tepilarium. The aroma sauna has nothing aroma in it, there no herbs or anything else at all. Ot top of that the chairs are broken and when my boyfriend got up, one of the boards stuck on his back. That itself isn’t a problem but there are nails on the board and thats dangerous. The tepilarium smelled so bad that we couldn’t even stay there for a couple of minutes. The steam bath had a lot of mold on the roof, so it’s rather dangerous for your health than anything else. There’s nobody on the spa reception. 
There is a “fitness” according to the hotel site. Well there are two cardio machines (we don’t even know if they work) and 2 dumbbells. 

The only great thing were the ladies on reception. They were polite, but sadly, on top of everything else, that was not enough for us to stay there. 

We had 5 nights booked, but we only stayed for two, before finding a different place to stay.
