Pousada Larimor

A great hotel located within a walking distance to the Boiçucanga beach (around 150m). Very cozy and well equipped hotel, Pousada Larimor has a kind and polite staff, always ready to help the guests. I booked the "Sobrado Luxo", a Deluxe Two Story place, to accomodate comfortably 5 people. It has two bedrooms (with a ceiling fan in each one), an American Kitchen (well equipped, with stove, refrigerator and complete kitchen utensils), a living room (with cable TV, dinner table and two sofa beds) a washing room and a bathroom (with hairdryer and hot water), a balcony (where you can set a hammock) and a barbecue area (with a grill and all the barbecue kit). If you want air conditioner, there are another kinds of rooms ("Sobrado Master" or "Studio Master") - but depending on the time of the year, the ceiling fans is enough. The hotel is pretty close to a shopping mall, where you can find almost anything: restaurants, drugstore, beachwear store and a supermarket. Within a walking distance, as well, you can find good restaurants (like Caravela Restaurant). Nearby there is the Boiçucanga Beach, but if you want to visit different beaches, you can go to Maresias or Camburizinho Beach (less than 20 minutes driving). It is not particular to the hotel, but to all Boiçucanga area, there is the risk of insect bites. Don't worry, it is not harmfull for your health but you can have a hard time with the itchy and painfull bites from "borrachudo" insect. Be aware to take a bug spray/repellent with you. The rooms are equipped with insect net for windows, what help a lot! The hotel facilities are great! Breakfast is served to the guests: a mix of the American and Brazilian breakfast: scrumbled eggs, sausage, different types of bread, cakes, cookies, a variety of fruits, iorguts, cereals, milk, juice and coffee. There is a great swimming pool (including one for kids), with some tables and sun loungers. Right beside it, there is a barbecue grill (in case you are staying in a "Studio", withouth the barbecue grill inside the installation). In the hotel, there is also a playground area for kids! WiFi free is available for all the hotel (sometimes signal is weak). You can rent a sunshade and beach chair (to take them to the beach) for R$5,00 each one. Daily Linen change is available, as well as room cleaning every day. Parking lot is available (you carry the gate key). Price is worthy, especially if you get a package. Reservation can be made through the website. I highly recommend this hotel!! Service is awesome and localization is very good!
