Hostal Castillo de Liliana

My experience at this hostel was better than what I had expected. My friend and I didn't come across those negative things mentioned in the previous reviews of this place. I don't know if it's because improvements had been made and our 3-night stay was not in the high season. Our twin room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was small but the hot shower was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Besides, we enjoyed the wonderful rich breakfast with bread, toast, biscuits, scrambled eggs, butter & jam, cereal, yoghurt, orange juice, fresh fruit (watermelon, papaya and banana) and hot drinks. The staff refilled different items from time to time. The hostel has good location too, close to the market and the bus station. The immigration office is located here with just another spiral stairs. If anyone going to Chile does not want to wait in the long queue at the Bolivian border, you can get the exit stamp here. On the morning of 29 April, after check-out and waiting for the 3D2N tour to start, we asked the owner if the immigration office was open. He said it was Sunday so the officer might not come. A minute later, the owner told us the officer was coming (maybe he had made a call). In just few minutes, we saw the officer entering the place on his bike. He told us to go upstairs. We showed him the receipt with dates of our 3D2N tour, paid the departure tax (15 BOB/ person) and got our passports chopped. The whole process took just a minute.
