The Village Inn

The owner was so super friendly. The location is wonderful. Not too close to the village and yet not too far out.  There is a restaurant and Coffee shop right around. The store, atm and pharmacy and a baker is less than 5mins away The beach is so close.. will definitely stay there again.

I've been waiting for two years to go here. It was a pleasure to write Jacob, such a kind man. Booked the cabana and flight. Vacation time approved by work. Then... pandemic.
To say I am disappointed doesn't begin to describe it. Jacob and I communicated as the situation worsened around the world. Everyone's priority should be to stay safe. What was really great is that I proposed an alternate plan and Jacob agreed. Like I said, a kind man.
For now, paradise can wait. I'll be sitting by the ocean soon enough.

Jacob and family own and operate these unique beach cabins that truly represent the  Belizian/Placencian life style. Away from the maddening crowds of resort filled vacationers the The Village Inn is quiet and perfectly located. A beach walk to town is the daily activity or if you prefer grab a kayak and head out on the calm sea.  
While maintaining a rustic feel, these cabins contain all the necessary amenities for a self contained holiday.

Quiet and peaceful. I had a unit without A/C. Did not need with the cross-breezes. Right on the water. Able to step out door and walk 10 steps in to the ocean. Friendly and always looking to help. Will stay again. Clean.

We had to cut our trip short unfortunately to avoid flying through a hurricane, but we loved the laid back vibe of this place! Ty was friendly and accommodating, let us use the phone and cut us coconuts to drink. Right on the beach and clean, well kept rooms. A bit away from the village.

Great place to stay. Jacob was a great host and Tyrone took the best care of us!! Ocean views and sea breezes. Always had what we needed and more. Brought us mangoes and coconut. Made great suggestions for places to go and things to do.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at villiage inn.  We stayed in Mar cabin and it was right on the water ! The cabins are definitely rustic and minimal, but in reality you spend all of your time outside.  We didn't make much use of the kitchen because eating in Placencia is quite cheap (definitely check out Omar's, Rumfish and Camens, skip barefoot for food).  There are kayaks and bikes available at a small fee to guests.  

Ty and Jacob are very special people. They treated us like family from the moment we arrived.  They went above and beyond, Ty brought us fresh fruits and coconuts everyday and Jacob offered multiple times to drive us into town for errands.  Ty even gathered fire wood so we could have a fire on the beach one night ! There was not one request we had that wasn't fulfilled.

I would definitely recommend spending some time at this special spot. It's an authentic experience that you would never get at a big resort .

Had a great stay, the bungalow we were staying in was just a few meters away from the sea. Surroundings very well maintained. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance (about 15 mins on the road). There is a walking path between the sea and the road that reduces the time to get to the village and is surrounded by more restaurants and little shops full of carved wooden objects. 
We were allowed to use the bikes for free to cycle to the village if we did not feel like walking. The whole village while touristy has got a very nice, relaxed feeling. The staff is very friendly, helpful and provided us with fresh coconut water from the trees nearby on daily basis. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils, gadgets and fridge to store all the food. It even has a blender to make your own smoothies (big plus). Possibility to have a barbecue outside too.
Many thanks Jacob & Thai (hope got the spelling right :-) ), we had an excellent stay and would have stay behind longer if we did not have to move on.

The cabanas are literally steps from the water. Jacob and Ty check in several times daily. This property is the best location on Placencia and just a short walk from the restaurants and nightlife.  A great place to meet people and enjoy the area. 

Stayed with wife and 2 children. 

Pros: nice beach, a bit out of town, but easily walkable, good views, quiet but not dead, friendly staff

Cons: it’s a beach hut, so expect a bit of shabbiness, which you may like.  No ceiling fans or air con, they provide desk fans but it’s noisy, the kitchen is a little under equipped with crockery and cutlery but there is good cooking equipment. Much nicer to spend time outside.
