Isegrim Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at the B&B Isegrim when Hull City played Sporting Lokeren in August. I chose the B&B because it was the nearest place I could find to the town, and everywhere else seemed totally booked up. Ahead of our arrival, owner Chantal messaged me to say she would pick us up from the train station, which was great. When we got to our room, we were amazed. It was massive - with a huge bed, separate sofa, flatscreen TV, and fridge stocked with beer and soft drinks. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was lovely (although strangely there was no door... it was a bit, er, open plan...) and the whole place looked like its owners really cared and had a fantastic eye for style and design. It was a shame we could not stay longer to enjoy the facilities as they had a large lawn, big garden chess set, and hot tub. As it was, our plan was to be drinking with fellow fans in the market square, so we walked the couple of miles there and after the match we watched back. (B&B Isegrim had offered us their bikes but due to logistics we decided to walk.) Chantal and Mark were so kind as to get up at 5am and provide breakfast for us, even cooking us little mini-omelettes and giving us food and drinks for our journey. I would heartily recommend this place for anyone visiting this part of Belgium. It's ideally located about half an hour's walk (or 15-20-min cycle ride) from the town and there's loads of space if you've got a car.
