My husband and I couldn't find a place to stay. It was early in the evening and very stormy. I suddenly noticed a sign along the road and off we went. We were welcomed to La Besace, a lovely small hotel on a country road. It turned out to be perfect for us. The owners were a lovely and friendly couple. We saw the room, accepted it, and then went back to Hotton's center to eat. La Besace turned out to be great for us. It wasn't modern, but it was quite clean and comfortable. In the morning, we were given an excellent breakfast.. The dining room and the "reception " area had so many interesting pieces of artwork. There were old family heirlooms throughout the area. It just turned out to be a great spot - with a wonderful delicious bowl of candy at the foot of the staircase to the second floor. We woiuld definitely recommend it.
