Maria was an absolutely amazing host! We stayed at the B&B October 11-14th. We were originally supposed to arrive at 10pm. Her check-in hours are 2pm - 5pm, but with a quick email she was more than willing to accommodate us. We showed up earlier than expected, at 5pm, and she was there waiting to let us in. This is a small B&B and Maria lives at the property. This is not a hotel with a 24/7 front desk and staff, so I was grateful Maria was there, although she wasn't expecting us until later. 

Upon arrival Maria was so welcoming. We sat at her table while she pulled out a map and made recommendations for places to visit, sightsee and eat. It was great to have some local knowledge, and although we had been to Brugge before she recommended places we had no previously been. 

After welcoming us she showed us around the B&B. It was very clean! We didn't see any bugs at all (let alone bed bugs as another review mention). Maria provided extra blankets in case we got cold. She had us inspect the bathrooms and bedroom to make sure it was to our liking.

The parking is 10EUR a day, but its in her personal garage right next to the property. It fit my large SUV no problem, and the neighborhood and parking was very safe and secure. 

Every morning we were provided an excellent breakfast of fresh bread, homemade jam that Maria makes herself, cheese, salami and omelettes made to order. Tea and coffee are included. She offers fresh orange juice for 4EUR a glass, but neither my husband or I are juice drinkers so we declined with no problems or pressure. 

The location is amazing and about a 5 minute walk from De Halve Man Brewery. We found it very easy to get around by foot and didnt use the car all weekend.

Some how I missed it was a shared bathroom when booking - The bathroom is shared with one other room. There is one room with a toilet. The other bathroom has a tub with shower hose (not fixed to the wall), a sink and mirror. We had no issues with sharing the bathroom with the other guests, it was not a problem at all. However, I still didn't notice it was shared when booking the room. 

We were in the "Double Room" which does not match the photos on Booking. As others have mentioned the Double Room has a small seating area, and narrow stairs up to a loft where the bed is.  She did provide a small lamp on both levels. We left the downstairs lamp on at night so that we could see going up and down the stairs to get to the bathroom. I felt it was larger than the other room, but if you're not expecting the stairs I could see how this would be a concern.

Amazing Host! Clean! Great Location!

Without Maria we would not have had such an amazing experience of Bruges. She could not be more helpful. Such a lovely host. We had a brilliant recommendation for dinner and followed our map of the city which she had drawn a route for us on, we definitely would have been lost without it. Our room was lovley, set over two floors with plenty of space. Perfect little break away, would happily stay at Maria's again. 
I left a bit of my heart in Bruges.

María es una anfitriona genial, siguiendo sus recomendaciones disfrutarás de los rincones especiales de Brujas. 
Nuestra estancia ha sido muy agradable, la casa es tranquila y muy bien situada, la cama muy cómoda y el desayuno delicioso.

El parking y las tasas se pagan aparte, allí mismo.

We absolutely recommed this B&B, well located, with optional parking (7€) and so quiet and comfortable. 
The owner, Maria, take her time to indicate us in the map where to go and what to see, which we appreciate because we don't have much time. She suggest a restaurant and make a reservation, thanks to this we can have dinner in a high demanded place.

The breakfast was very good, with homemade jam, bread, orange juice and ommelette made at the moment.

Gran opción/Great place!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a long weekend over the Christmas market period. On arrival Maria, our hostess, had left her garage open as a parking space and a lovely welcome note.

The house is beautiful, very clean, and only 15 minutes from the centre and Belfort. Bathroom and toilet are shared but only between 2/3 rooms so it's not a huge issue. We had a delicious breakfast of homemade jam, breads and omelette to give you a good start to the day.

Maria herself was very friendly and quite eccentric at times! She loves to suggest places for you to eat and go which is super helpful if you're not familiar with Bruges.

All in all a comfortable, friendly stay. Could maybe have tea making facilities in the room but it's not a huge issue.

Eccentric and lovely!

The hostess is a cutie and has a heart of gold. Lots of homemade jams etc that are delicious. Her omlettes are great although you can ask her for something else if you wish, within reason. Eg a fried egg. If you want an experience of living in a family home then hers is it. Don't go here expecting hotel service. She gave us great tips on where to go for dinner and outings. She gave us a map which she drew on which was fab. The price I think was fair, although I would not leave a tip in The room because when you leave there is a tourist tax that you pay. It was really quiet in the home but that was nice as we weren't getting in late at night. Very welcoming. The music at breakfast is very varied and can be hilarious.

Cute & Fantastic Location

Easy to find, best location close to old town and the owner was a so lovely woman giving us a perfect roadmap where to go and what to see.
Nice room, however a bit loud from other rooms and the owner´s apartment (could hear tv and music).
TV in the room was almost not working.
A good breakfast was served in the owners apartment.
We hade some good laughs and the visit was a real experience to save among the good memories.

Overall a perfect place if you travel by yourself or a couple. Not for families.

Nice B&B, perfect location and kind owner

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night in September . when we arrived our room was not ready. Then in the middle of the night we were awoken to bed bugs crawling all over our bed and biting us. They were everywhere and crawling out of the head board. We tried to contact Maria but could not so had no choice but to sleep on her sofa for the night as we could not sleep in the room we had payed for. We didn’t sleep all night and were understandably upset. 
In the morning this did not seem to bother Maria she never offered us a refund and we had to bargain with her to get some money back . All she gave us was 40 euro and not even a sorry. She even charged us 4 euro for orange juice we never got. 
It was a nightmare and 40 euro did not cover the awful night without sleep we put down, on a small cramped sofa. It also didn’t cover the cost of antihistamines, cream and calamine lotion we had to pay for to treat our bites, which were so itchy and painful and still here a week later.  We found out  the following day another couple experienced the same thing that night and received the same treatment from Maria.
I wouldn’t stay here again  if you payed me and the service we received from Maria was appalling to say the least.
