This is just a functional, basic motel that is ideal if you are attending the opera in Bregenz. As 12,000 are also attending the opera each night, there is enough car parking spaces for you to use not far from the opera (10 Euro's for the night)
The motel offers a basic breakfast which was good, the rooms are fine and clean, all that I needed for a night's sleep before travelling onto the next country.

Great motel if visiting Bregenz Speilfest

A nice motel, for a short stay, conveniently located on Diepoldsauer Strasse -just a few minutes’ drive from the Swiss border. It’s approximately 1km away from Hohenems centre, but just across a Cinema complex, with several cafes and restaurants.
The no-frills rooms are large and comfortable, and the breakfast was quite good, with all the main choices, served in a pleasant hall. As expected, there are no other catering options, but a well stock vending machine.
The only problem that I encountered during my visit, about one year ago, it was the almost inexistent internet connection, for both days of my stay. But I would guess it was a temporary problem.
Mind that the reception is open until late evening, so if one is to arrive late, it’s better to check the check-in process.

Not fancy, but functional

Had a 5 night reservation. Called them one week in advance to warn I could not make the first day. Tried to cancel also not possible. Got there second day, they refused me​ a room but charged my card for 5 nights.

Room denied (beware)

One of the advantages is how close the place is to the motorway and a fairly friendly staff. The rooms have a strange set up though and unfortunately smell funny, too.
The staff tries to make up the atmosphere, but it feels like sleeping in a motel with nothing extra to offer. Emergence sleepover on a long journey type of experience.

Sleepover on a long journey

This motel is a few miles from the busy Lake Constance town of Bregenz where hotels were a lot more expensive. It had free parking, large motel style rooms, a wet room en suite with shower (we had accessible room on ground floor). It was not especially sound proof, there was lots of door slamming by guests who arrived close to midnight, and we could hear coins and drinks drop in the vending machine. The breakfast was pretty decent for a motel, and included in price. 

We ate at the Lemongrass Chinese over the road in the evening - the wait staff were in the same shirts as at the hotel so we suspect it's the same company. It was a nice, we'd recommend it. 

The bottle of water each we were given as we left (as the forecast was well into 30 degrees C) was a nice touch.

Good Motel, Comfortable Stay

Upon arrival hotel was closed,had to ring bell for someone to let us in. Would advise not to arrive early. Rooms were better than expected and were very quiet. Breakfast was acceptable   Staff wS ok but didn't go out of way to help
