The location of this motel is attractive, apart from this the rooms are tired and overly expensive.
I'm guessing this motel was built 40 or 50 years ago and it is tired with plenty of minor repairs due in every room. Still comfortable but the prices are on the high side.
Rooms get stuffy at night and if this is a problem you will have to use the A/C.
Room has Microwave and tea and coffee makings.
Parking is also tight!

Tired, expensive motel in a good location.

The Beach Motel is an older motel that has been renovated a while back and is now showing signs of wear eg paint missing. The room was a good size and contained a proper sink for doing dishes. The parking is tight, not helped by the room numbers being almost unreadable and the wood strips delineating the spaces being almost buried. There are no staff on site, everything is done via phone. We had trouble retrieving our key from the box but after making a call Jenny was soon there to sort it out – we were glad we hadn’t arrived in the middle of the night. However the motel is in a great spot opposite the beach and within walking distance of many restaurants and cafes. It was quiet overnight.

Old Style

This Motel is close to the beach and in the middle of the shops. It was very quiet and the rooms were a good size. Each room had  its own parking space. The cons are it had no pool (it has been filled in) or any other facilities, The cost was on the high side and the biggest disappointment was that there was NO reception, everything was done by phone. Don't rush to book as it is due to be demolished and replaced by a Pub.

Goo Location and quiet

Great location right opposite the beach extremely comfortable beds lovely linen  bathrooms need a little attention close to cafes and shops close to Blue Bottles for breakfast . Highly recommend very affordable . A great park opposite

A little Gem

1. Smell in the room. We both fell sick. Runny nose. Sore throat. 
2. Ants and spiders in the room. Could not leave anything on the kitchen top.
3. Soap shampoo and conditioner just not enough.
4. Very dirty carpet
5. Gap under the door brought draft and noise all night.
6. They allocated room and then changed to another room.
7. Only double bed. Noisy mattress.
8. Not all lights were working
9. Freezer section on the refrigerator not working.
10. Dish washer was very poor quality.
11. Tap broken.

Locals said they want to sell this place hence not maintaining.

Would not go there ever again. Wish we slept in our car.

Horrible facilities. Not liveable

Our room was huge and so comfortable.  You can see that the management have made a huge effort to update this motel,  from what i would say was a 80s style. They've put in new tasteful furnishings,  new carpet etc and it's all been freshened up with a coat of paint. All in all it was really nice. Air con worked well too and the motel was so quiet. Only negative was the shower was a bit mediocre.  Maybe a new showerhead needed. 
The staff (particularly the cleaning staff) were so accommodating and friendly. 
The location in brilliant.  Right in the main street, across from the beach. A short walk to cafes, restaurants and cute little boutique shops too. We had a lovely time discovering them.  All in all, we had the best stay. Will be back. 



Great little spot

Stayed one night stopping over the way up the coast. This is a 1960's style motel in a great location just across the road from the beach with cafes and restaurants nearby. It is clean and the decor has been updated and is pleasant,  the room is large as is the bathroom, bed was comfortable, aircon works as does wi-fi    - but the bones of the motel are what they are - you park outside your door, and the fittings are of a different era. If glitz is your thing this is not your place.

What you see is what you get

Beds are great but the kitchen and bathroom area could do with a good clean and a review was written in 2019 about this issue , with COVID I would have thought this would have improved other than that a geat location and a gem of a property just needs a little Bit of  a spruce up in certain areas including the gardens which would take it to another level where you actually don’t mind paying the requested price . Fabulous fish restaurant Whitfish down the road which made it all worth while staying here the night

Great location shame about the overall cleanliness

Paid in full and then received a request to cancel ( not sure how many others received this ) the next email my booking was cancelled without my request . Wow ... why send an email requesting to bump me off and then do it anyway . Very dodgy . I would not plan ahead with them .

Be careful they don’t just cancel on you

We stayed in this excellent location in Woolgoolga close to the beach and cafes on the spur of the moment. The grilled barramundi and generous chips from Whitesalt close by were delicious for dinner. We then had the best night's sleep in a beautifully comfortable bed. 
The breakfast at Blue Bottles nearby is excellent.
