We found the property to be modern and sensational in every way. The views on offer must be some of the best from anywhere in the Whitsunday region and the vista is unbelievable from the lower level and must be even more so from the next level up. Whilst it is serene and tranquil the bird life at times are the only disturbance to silence, but what a wonderful way to start the day as the sun rises with an orchestra of differing species and most that we don't get at home. The locals are amazing, amongst them are turtles and large fish(jumping out of the water) that we spotted from our balcony out in the harbour beyond the beautiful pool. We found our room to be spotlessly clean and contained all the appliances required in near new condition and working fine. The wifi in our room also did not miss a beat once we connected correctly from our Apples. Whilst the apartments are less than a 10 minute drive from Airlie Main Street, it is too far to walk but this was a blessing in disguise for us as we have stayed in town before and had to contend with noise including being disturbed in the middle of the night by noisy party people walking home after the bars have closed. The buses run regularly to and from the ferry port just down the road but not late at night time so it is best to rent a car or alternatively use the taxis at night time which are plentiful and reasonably priced. We had a wonderful stay that was great value considering and comparing to the many other properties that we have stayed in over the years in the Airlie Beach area. Thanks to Nathan whom was always available to call and ask a question or recommend something to do or somewhere to visit for the day. We loved the place and will definitely return soon.

Magnificent Stay

We have just come back from 5 nights at Baybliss. The location is amazing - must be the best views in the Whitsundays. It's a fair way out of Airlie, but it is only 10 minutes walk to the bus stop (and the bus drivers are fantastic). We loved that you couldn't hear anything but the birds and that you felt you were the only ones in this slice of paradise. The managers, Kris and Nathan, were exceptional; nothing was a problem. There are new owners, so I suspect a facelift may be coming soon. But the apartments were comfortable (beds were very comfortable) and practical (very functional kitchenette, with fridge and cooking facilities) ..... and much more affordable than in Airlie. If you like being out of the hustle of Airlie, then this is a fantastic place to stay.

Very peaceful location and great apartment

These apartments are a hidden gem! Located a short drive from Airlie in the now very quiet Shute Harbour certainly does wonders for the tranquillity. The apartment was well presented, clean and furnished well. The gentleman who introduced us to our room was ever so helpful and was happy to chat about what to do and what to see. 
The pool was lovely to sit in and admire the views of the bay and the surrounding gardens were well appointed and not overgrown.  The only fault was there was no blanket on the bed, even for a north Queensland'r, a blanket is still nice. 
Overall a very nice place to stay with little to correct, a very pleasant stay and we'll defiantly back!

Peaceful place away from the crowds

I stayed for 2 nites at Baybliss Apartment.  Initially I thought my GPS was sending me to the unknown but I didn't realise Shute Harbour was a way out of town and I was driving at night.  What a beautiful view when I woke the next morning!!  Clean, quiet (although that would depend on who else was staying as the rooms are not soundproof.  No noise from other sources.),coffee machine preloaded with beans (I had no idea how to use it!), nice pool.  10 min drive to town. Beautiful views over the bay.  Bed was very comfortable.  TV.  I would definitely stay here again. 👍

Baybliss Apartmemts 

The place was a short drive to Airlie Beach, we loved the room that had a great view of the water and the pool. If your looking for a quiet stay and not into nightclubs, this was a place to go. Unfortunately had to leave earlier than intended cause of Cyclone  warning. Luckily flights were easily changed. All in all it was a beautiful home away from home.

Great view

This place took me by surprise. I booked not realising it was 10klms from Airlie Beach so was a bit hesitant on the drive there, thinking I had made a mistake booking so far from the main Airlie Beach area. Upon arrival I was still unsure until I got to the apartment and saw the stunning view from my balcony. The room was lovely, very clean and well equipped. The swimming pool was just beautiful and spotlessly clean and right outside our balcony. Everything worked in this apartment. The drive back to Airlie was only 5 minutes . If you are looking for a quick meal then I suggest the Jubilee Tavern. The service and the meal were exceptional and very well priced.

Perfect location

Pros - nice views, big shower and near new fan with remote and Netflix

Cons - isolated, noisy air-conditioner, noisy fridge, loud foot steps from the residents in the above unit, mattress very uncomfortable and cockroaches (5 exactly), 2 of which were found crawling across us in the middle of the night.

If you want to be close to cafes or restaurants or for that matter even a corner store, you probably should not stay at this location, as you a quite isolated and you definitely need a car. There is no off street parking and  it is quite dark when you return back to the unit at night time. There was no ability to leave the balcony screen door open for bay breezes, as you could not lock it, so lucky the fan worked, as the air-conditioner was so noisy we were not able to sleep with it going.

Overall a very disappointing experience.

I don't like giving bad reviews, but I have owned holiday rental properties and if you want people to come back you have to make sure that the rental property is up to the standard expected. This unit needs an update and the appliances need to be modernised.

Nice views

Firstly the positives - the location is secluded, quiet, peaceful, and the view lovely. The hobs and coffee maker (once you have found out how they work) were excellent, and plenty of room in the fridge freezer. There are excellent free communal washing and ironing facilities, and a lovely pool.

As for the not-so-goods, depending on your priorities...
There is no Reception, and instructions were sent only just before check in, so bear this in mind if you are travelling and have no access to WiFi. 
The WiFi at the apartment was virtually non-existent the day we arrived. We queried it with the owners but received no reply. For our second two days it improved to just about usable, but still dropped out. Given that you are in such an isolated spot, again this is not ideal. 
If you like very soft beds, you will love it. (definitely not if you like firm).
The floor was not clean (evidenced by the state of the soles of our feet after a shower), which was very disappointing in a place and climate you just want to walk around in in bare feet.
The location as mentioned is secluded, and there is absolutely nothing at Shute Harbour - not even a beach. Unfortunately due to the orientation, the pool and your balcony will only get sun in the morning, although this does lend to beautiful evening light over the bay. Although the bus service appeared to be regular, I would not want to stay here without a car. We may have been unlucky given previous reviews, but did not meet the owners, who we understand own a holiday letting company, nor were they very thorough with our queries.
Nb. We only understood on arrival, despite asking, that the basic studios are on the lower level (but still above the pool) and the bigger ones on top.

Lovely quiet location, but...

Located next to Sunsail Yacht Charters  & close to where they are rebuilding a jetty so there is industrial noise throughout the day. There's a cul'dsac behind apatments so road noise. Gardners were here day #1 of 2 day stay; very noisy electric hedgers etc - not acceptable when you are paying for seclusion; peace & quiet. If you stay in apts 1,2,3 on lower level above the pool you will have to listen to the "elephants" above trampling around all hours due to the non sound proof construction. R#3 is near the laundry & all other guests pass it on the way to the pool. At low tide all you see is muddy mangrove swamp. No smart TV's or foxtel; room is clean. Would not stay here again!



Reasonable But Noisy!

We stayed here for our 30th Anniversary and it was so awesome we decided to return for our 35th - last May....of course Covid-19 hit the world and NZ closed the borders and our flights were cancelled. We notified the owners that we couldn't get there, they immediately charged our credit card for the full amount! Despite numerous emails and effectively begging for some compassion, they refused to refund us, stating that we were preventing anyone else booking so had to pay! (the whole world was in lockdown so I dont know who they were expecting!), eventually they reluctantly agreed to allow us a 12 month credit. That expired last month and we still cant leave the country, so we wrote again asking for at least a partial refund. They didnt even give us the courtesy of a reply despite 3 emails being sent over 2 weeks. I guess they've taken our money and anyone elses who booked last year, and run! Don't touch them with a barge pole people.

Don't book until Covid has disappeared as they'll take your money for nothing!!!
