After arriving in Brisbane (QLD) from Scotland and getting Telstra card/ SIM had problems getting it to work. But received absolutely wonderful help from Ali (?) in the above phone store - expert knowledge, lovely warm manner and problem solved. Murwillumbah is a great little town and this little store is just one example of this. Can also recommend the open air swimming pool and Thrifty Car Hire. Thank you everyone

Only accommodation right on the water! Loved sitting on the balcony over river taking in the sunset, birds, quiet ambiance with a glass of wine. Rooms clean and adequate, very close to all of town. Loved it!

Wonderful view 

Clean, well located and cozy place. Free parking is available in front of the building. The kitchen is adequate equipped and clean as well. Very nice and helpful couple runs that place!
Super place to start and end your mount warning trip, they offer a shuttle service for 30 aud. Murwillumbah is an Authentic aussie town and pretty nice with the river in between.

Authentic and cozy place 

This is a lovely old building on the bank of the river. Beautiful views of the area. Nice and colourful inside. It was nearly empty when I stayed, but I imagine it would have a wonderful sense of community when full. The owner is very friendly and eager to make sure you have what you need and tell you about what there is to do in the area.

Quaint little hostel.

Loved our stay at this hostel. Despite the old school setting, it was immaculately clean and well maintained. The inn-keeper Tassy is friendly and helpful in suggesting things to do and see. Enjoyed the free ice-cream time which gives everyone in the hostel a chance to mingle and get to know each other. Common kitchen is well equipped and spacious. Beautifully located by the river. Highly recommended!
