I stayed for more than a week in Dickson Central, and had a great experience there: the rooms are very clean, with aircon and all.
The staff was very friendly and the breakfast is very good with options.
Would definetely recomend anyone to spend some days there!!

Very comfortable and clean hostel! Lovely staff!

Budget accommodation for couples or short trip - backpacker. The place got provide cooking kitchen ,share bath room for male/female , washing machine -3 dollars and dry machine -3dollars. Is located in Chinatown of Canberra , restaurant, Thai cuisine, Chinese , Malaysia, Vietnamese, Fast foods, convenient shop , supermarket is surround here. Bus Transportation is available to city area and easy to go and you can download the apps to view the bus number and the route to the destination. 

Backpacker 

Stayed overnight and was very surprise how well run the property is. Friendly staff, clean room and warm. Complimentary breakfast and clean facilities. I have been to other hostels before but this definitely exceeded my expectation for the price we paid.

Surprisingly Comfortable and clean

We spent only one night in this hostel and the feeling about it are quite contradictory... It's not too bad, but far away from being very good. I guess that as long as you come with no expectations, you won't be disappointed! 
Feble points: There's no free parking around (there's no free parking in Canberra anyway!), there's only 2 showers and quite moldy and short, so you have to bend your knees to wash your hair; some rooms have no windows, which is very sad. The whole place feels a bit claustrophobic.
Good points: Good matrasses, big kitchen and spacious common area with sofas, tv, movies and books. It's located in close to super markets and shops in China town, which is perfect to get good food. The breakfast in the morning is very decent, with a wide selection of cereal, bread, jams, etc.
It's the cheapest in Canberra so... enjoy it!

Not bad

You can definitely tell they know there are only two hostels in Canberra. 
Friendly staff !! 
But the bathrooms covered in mould and dirty 
there lounge area is just so run down not a very comfortable place to be.
