My husband and i went there for our christmas lunch and the place was so quiet and the staff were very friendly.

As for the food it was really heart warming, we plan on going back there with our children one of these fine days.

Serene place

The lodge is clean and well maintained in its own garden. 
Rooms are small but decently appointed.
The food is very nice and the muffins are splendid. It is about 10min from the border and within walking distance of the old steam train which does an evening meal/sightseeing trip to the falls.
Good place to stay for a night or two. 

Good value, great staff

We were struck not just by the wonderful sights and wildlife to see, and decent restaurants to visit, that were all nearby, but also by the genuine hospitality, warmth and helpfulness of all the staff at Zigzag. As newcomers to Zambia we were most appreciative of this. The lodge was nicely tucked away from the main road and the bustle of the town, whilst still being within walking distance of the shops and restaurants.The room we were in was clean and more than adequate, we loved relaxing by the pool, and eating at their restaurant in the lovely garden. I can honestly say that we miss the place!

A very friendly, clean and ideally located guesthouse that's great value.

Clean rooms, friendly service and a good price/performance ratio. An ideal starting point to visit the Victoria Falls. At the end of the rainy season, March/April, there is enough water in the "Thundering Smoke". Also within walking distance to supermarkets and banks.

We spent a few days at the ZigZag in August and while it's not a luxury hotel, the ensuite rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is extremely helpful and the food is great.  We liked the homey, laid-back vibe and if you're an animal lover, this is the place for you.  A bunch of friendly, well-cared for cats greeted us each day, and out back the ZigZag runs a small shelter that helps to rehabilitate neglected or injured dogs and find them new homes. We'd definitely return.

Friendly, simple & good people

Nice welcoming place to stay in Livingstone.  Very helpful and friendly staff make this place special.  My room was very small and not really suitable for a work trip but I was able to work in the lounge/dining room.  Wifi was ok in the dining room but not in my room.  Excellent cocktails at the bar :-)

I traveled up to Zigzag after a conference in Johannesburg and stayed three fantastic days.  The staff helped me book activities that did not fail to impress.  I managed to squeeze on a sunset cruise on the Zambezi (awesome!), helicopter flight over the falls (wow!), walked all through the Victoria Falls parks in both Zambian and Zimbabwe (oh yeah!), and then went on a short game park trip and managed to see just about every big game park animal you would want to see!
