The place close anywhere in downtown. You just hire a grab. The beach is 5 min by walking. Compare price is really cheap around the other places.The rooms are nice. You can stay short term here. We did not have any problem

This nine-room two-storey guesthouse is run by a very house-proud couple with three cute daughters, including identical twins aged three! What they may lack in English, they all more than made up for in smiles! The wife greeted us on arrival and took the cash payment and passport copies. The whole complex is fully tiled and meticulously clean (please take your footwear off at the entrance). We were in room 2 on the ground floor with a double bed (usual Vietnamese mattress, ie. slightly on the hard side). The inside of the fridge was as spotless as the floors and it was very quiet. The air-con was very efficient and also very quiet. As an alternative, there was also a fan. The wardrobe and clothes hangers were welcome and unexpected at this price point. The bathroom had soap and toothbrushes included. We purchased cheap shampoo sachets from the King Kong Market on the main road a few minutes away. There is a tv on the wall but we didn’t use it so cannot comment on the channels or quality. 

The family offers free use of their kitchen and terrace on the upper floor. The husband is a barber by trade and the wife is a hairdresser who offers a nail service and their salon is located by the reception desk. The guesthouse is in a quiet alleyway and just five minutes’ walk to the beach, which was incredibly clean, in one direction or two minutes to the main road in the other (no traffic noise can be heard in the guesthouse). Having walked along the entire beach to the main town, I can say this area has the best beach. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. I really recommend the guesthouse for a relaxing stay in an excellent location!

For price room was fine, air con didn’t work though so room was always uncomfortably hot and sticky. Water went off once when we were there and returned after a few hours. Small ants in room/bathroom but didn’t bother us. Walking distance to the beach (long beach which is super crowded) and good restaurants and bars. Overall room was clean and hosts were always happy and smiling

It could hardly be more beautiful. A house in a very good position: Quiet side street, 5 minutes to the beach, tropical vegetation rings around. The rooms are bright and friendly. There is perfect cleanliness throughout the house. Rented bicycles or scooters can be parked in the lobby. Professional haircuts and shaving are given to the boss in person, the housekeeper washes every stain from the laundry of the guests. In the neighborhood, very good Vietnamese cuisine is served at moderate prices. I can recommend the Song Ngoc Guesthouse without restriction and would sooner or later book it again.

A Dream Under the Palms

A clean budget guesthouse in a good location on long beach. Maybe 2.5km from town.  The room was spacious, clean, with AC, a fridge, and hot water. Was in the end room on the bottom floor.  On the second floor is a kitchen and a terasse.

Clean guesthouse in good location

Sure the place had seen better days and the chairs were plastic etc, but the excellent manicure, and extremely cheap price, made up for that. I have had three manicures and one pedicure in Vietnam before this one, and this was by far the best of them. I only did gellac (French manicure) and it cost me 100’000 VND for nails and another 100’000 VND for feet. No massage, no scrub etc included. But honestly, if all you want is good looking nails then this is the best place to go. The girl here makes the nails perfect.

Only went here for mani-pedi, but it was really good!

The rooms are very clean and the furnishings are relatively new. But the mattress is absolutely uncomfortable and much too hard! It's a shame that in the six days we were there, not a single time was cleaned or the garbage emptied. Basically, a good accommodation for a short stay and price is also fine.

Good for a short stay

A hidden gem! The rooms in this hotel are the best that we have stayed in in Vietnam. All the furniture and fittings seem brand new and of a really high quality. The owners were friendly and always smiley when you walked past.

Lovely hospitality

Great place with a very nice couple. The rooms are very cheap compared to the rest of the island and they're very clean. Super wifi for those who travel for a long time. Just a charming place in a very nice neighborhood.
