I did not stay here. I paid for my reservation online but once I got to the hotel they did not have my reservation and I was told by the owner that they do not accept online payments. I showed the lady on the counter my booking confirmation number. If you book this hotel do not pay through Hotels.com Unfortunately, Hotels.com refused to refund my payment. I also, requested for the Gold Hotel to be removed from their cite. Absolutely, nothing was done. Completely unsatisfied with the service provide.

Great hotel

I stayed here 3 years ago and nothing much has changed. It is in a great location with great views. This is a Vietnamese hotel and I have never seen any tourists from anywhere else stay. The staff speak little or no English but I don’t have a problem with any of that. The front desk girl on during the day does speak some and is friendly. Towels changed daily, aircon. No free water or breakfast but there are plenty of cafes nearby. There is major construction going on next door but they started at a reasonable hour about 8am and finished about 6pm. There is a cage with live entertainment 2 doors down but they close around 10pm. This hotel will continue to be my first choice in Duong Dong and on a budget.

Good view, good location, value for money

Cost was fine, beds and pillows nice and comfortable. WiFi didn't work in the first room we were in and the A/C made some noise. We requested another room maybe closer to the router. Second room they put us in had a problem with the bathroom and sewage line. The smell was bad enough we had to keep the door shut and almost dreaded going into the bathroom even to brush our teeth. We still decided to stay 3 more nights, but we're glad to not have to deal with it any longer than that. Good location and friendly staff, just needs a few things fixed and upgraded and it will start getting higher marks.

good location, value for money for those on budget travelling. it was so great that we were arranged a sea view room. right beside the sea but we did not enjoy due to a lot the rocky and rubbish. near the night market, you could easily access by walking. lots of local food stall/restaurant nearby.

Budget hotel in the center of town

Good location.  Rooms are a reasonable size.  Nice view if you have a sea view.  Clean, friendly, but not a huge amount of English.  Wifi sucks if you get a room on the end and it's irritating that none of the doors close, so you hear banging, slamming doors at night and in the morning.  Helped us to rent a couple of scooters for three days.  No breakfast, but there are places to eat roundabouts.

We took a regular, city view room and a sea view room.  The bungalows (apart from if you get one on the front) don't seem to be worth it, you'll probably just get a lot of traffic going past to the small beach.

There's a small patio area that would be nice if they cleaned the garbage off it.  The beach is ok for swimming if you don't mind skirting round the plastic bags in the water.  Lovely sunset view point.

Good Location, Friendly, but irritations

eat hotel and I have come back for the 2nd part of my trip. It is in the best location, right at the night market and close to everything you need. Dont do what I see other tired hot tourists doing and walking a distance in the heat etc back to their resorts and hotels or giving up and getting taxis. Not here, you are right where the action is and if you are an early riser, within walking distance over the bridge to the morning markets. As far as the beach goes in front of the hotel (or any resort etc in Long Beach or Duong Dong etc) not for me - too much rubbish but plently of Vietnamese do swim there, so your choice. The staff speak very poor English but it is only a problem if you find it a problem. Breakfast is not available but can be got from a nice cafe, 2 doors down, Safari, which do a breakfast deal. Tours easily organised outside hotel. I really think this hotel is in the best spot in town where everything is at your fingertips. Im so glad I didnt book further away where they talk about easy walk to Duong Dong, it would be a real pain! I had a great room overlooking the water and loved it
