Good location, good condition, well return.

I like the area , very close to many restaurants with walking distance. Room very clean

This was a great place. The room was clean, and the staff very friendly. My room was just off the lobby, so there was more noise than I would have liked, especially early in the morning. But all in all, it was a great stay.

We recently spent 3 nights here and wasn't disappointed. It is only a short walk to the city centre and really has everything you need. English is a little lacking, but very helpful nonetheless. The room was clean as was the bathroom. I would definitely go back again.

Great hotel. Friendly service.

Great little hotel

The room has no closet, no place to set luggage, insufficient space for our personal stuff. Staff are ignorant. Terrible stay.

It was a shabby hotel where the wallpaper was about to leave the walls. When we arrived later than 8 am for breakfast there was hardly anything left. The staff was doing nothing to refill the table. The carpet in our room was dirty.

Room for improvemt

During the time me and my boyfriend stayed at The White Pearl Hotel, we had some really bad experiences. At first we decided to not let it bother us, but then we also thought it would be unfair to all of you that want to visit The White Pearl Hotel. 

The girl from the reception was very friendly, punctual and caring. We had a nice welcome! There was no reason at all to doubt of the service of the hotel.

But then it started. We entered the room and suddenly there was a power failure. It took more than an hour before we could charge our batteries from our phone and could take a shower as the lights didn’t work and there was no window.

First we thought this is just the part of traveling where sometimes these things happen and we could laugh about it...

The next morning we woke up and went to breakfast. The breakfast was really poor, as there was little to no food. This was strange as a part of the staff (around 5 people) was having breakfast too in the same area. Actually we felt really weird about this... The staff was even eating a wide variety of foods!

Afterwards we went to the reception, because we decided we wanted to make use of the laundry service. Our clothes weren’t that dirty, but it just needed to be freshened up. We told the girl from the reception that two pieces of clothes were needed to be carefully taken care of as they were shirts for evenings in high end restaurants. 

Then we decided to make use of the scooter service. The guy from the hotel responded very quickly by arranging two scooters within 10 minutes. We were really glad. But then both tanks were nearly empty and the slots of the helmets were broke. The helmets fell off our heads within seconds. 

Within half an hour we finally got safe helmets and we had to go to the gas station. We didn’t expect scooters to be delivered to guests in this way so again we felt weird and then a bit angry too as we also payed good money for renting the scooters. During the evening we also found out that the lights didn’t work and so we had to drive without lights! That is dangerous in such a city like Da Lat!

The last day we were able to pick up our clothes. In total it took two days for the laundry service to do the laundry of 15 pieces. When we finally took our clothes out of the bag the laundry wasn’t clean and to top it off there were two really dirty stains in our clothes. One of the stains was also on the expensive shirt and another bleach stain was on another shirt. We decided to send an email to the hotel about this and they said that their laundry service ‘checked our clothes carefully’ as there we’re no stains and the laundry was fully clean. We didn’t expect this blame from the hotel as we feel like they said we made the stains by ourselves but that was absolutely not the case! Very rude and unprofessional. 

We know the hotel has 3 stars, but this way of treating your guests is unacceptable. Spending your well-earned money at such a hotel gives also the right to have some proper expectations. They would really make a good stand if they finetuned their service and think more from a guest-perspective. 

However, it is up to you if you want to take the risk of going through these experiences during your well earned holiday...

Worse experience ever in Da Lat

We booked two rooms with a double bed and a city view. We arrived and they told us one of the rooms wasn’t ready. It was an hour after check in but were fine as one room was ready. 

The room they gave us, however, was not what we ordered as it had 2 beds and no city view. They told us it was in fact what we reserved. When we showed them our reservation they finally admitted they did not have that room available but they insinuated they were doing us a favor as there were two beds and they weren’t charging us for the upgrade. 

This isn’t really an upgrade for us as we don’t need an extra bed - just the extra room (that we paid for). And would certainly have preferred the balcony that we ordered with a city view. Alas, at this point we’re just wondering if we’ll ever get our second room. 

It’s 4 hours after check in time and we’re still waiting. Cleanliness levels are lacking - mold, scuffs, and dirt on walls, wall paper coming down. I would not recommend this place to others as there are several better options in the area. Save yourself the hassle and book somewhere else. :)

Worst experience in Vietnam

This hotel was filthy and had not been cleaned properly. There was mould and food left on the window seal. The first morning we were woken up at 7 in the morning by construction work which went on for the whole day. The next morning we were woken up again at 6:30 in the morning by music being played by the receptionist. On the second day the cleaners left our room door unlocked and open all day with all our possessions on show. When I asked reception for an explanation they didn't seem bothered and wouldn't let me speak to the manager directly. They just told me it's because the cleaners needed to get towels for the room but when we got back to our room there was towels in there - lying and looking for an excuse. There was no safe in the room, in the room description it said there would be. The beds weren't made either. 

After numerous visits down to the reception to complain and look for an explanation as to why our door was unlocked all day we got some money back. I would rather have had it all back and spent it else where knowing my things would be kept safe.
