We stayed in the lighthouse which is perfect for a couple. It has a balcony with an ocean view and a hot tub right in the room. It also has a kitchen, think studio apartment, but not cramped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Quaint and Romantic

It's an affordable cottage for a quick getaway. It could use some upgrading to make it more romantic but it is still comfortable and cozy. You park your vehicle right in front of the cottage below the deck. There are some stairs you must go up to enter the room. You have a nice little area outside to sit and look out at the water and smell the ocean air. It was a decent room and there is a jacuzzi as well. We did not use it but it was nice to have the option. The walk to the beach is short and relaxing. I would stay here again.

My Couple Retreat

I rented this from booking.com looking forward to a nice time at the beach.  When I received my welcome email, telling how to get in - I also was notified that the laundryroom for the whole place is attached to the house I rented and used daily from 11-4.  This is an issue for my autistic son, so I quickly let them know the laundry being done attached was not disclosed and we could not stay there.  The owner said, "it is what is is, next time stay in Seaside."  She said I had to deal with booking.com who said I needed to contact the owners - so if you have an issue with your booking here - be ready for a circus of circles.

Notice to new renters

My family and I wanted to just stay in Cannon Beach for a couple of days.  We found this home online.  It’s a quirky cottage that reminds me of my families cabin in the Pecos , NM.  So when we went into the cottage we felt right at home.  It’s very close to the beach, with a short walk.  A hidden path makes it fun.  The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, coffee pot, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. Has a roku tv and a jacuzzi in the living room.  There is a queen bed in the living room, also a couch that converts into a bed with hidden sheets and pillows in the couch.  We didn’t find them until the second day.  The main bedroom is located upstairs, has a queen bed. The restroom is downstairs and is full of towels, shower gives nice hot showers after being on the shore. The cottage isn’t perfect, but it’s comfortable and gives you all you need to have a relaxing time. It is also close to coffee shops, restaurants, and shops.  My family and I really enjoyed our time we spent here.  

Relaxing little Cottage

Great location with a serious need for updating ! 
Traveling with a girlfriend we stayed here for two nights in "the cottage". While it provides a great room-bedroom , soaking tub , kitchenette, bathroom , fake fireplace- as well as an additional loft bedroom, it is extraordinarily dated and worn. 
With high season pricing I would've expected, at minimum, a welcoming coffee set up. 


Needs a little love

We had a great experience with Guest House Inn.  We stayed in "The Cottage" and it was perfect for our family of 4.  We had a little snafu with booking and the owner Cindy went above and beyond to help me out of a serious bind!  My niece got married on the beach by Surf Sand Hotel and our place was so close which made it so easy for us running back and forth and parking.   Easy walk to town and you are so close to Haystack!! You can't go wrong with this place!! They offer different types of rooming options for different size parties so be sure to check them out.

Great Location!!

The Lighthouse room above the garage has a picture window with a view of surf, sand, sky and sunset (also telephone wires, parking lots, gardens and other lodgings, but not enough to detract too much). Walk to the beach is well under 1/4 mile, and goes through a lovely tunnel of myrtle. Downtown is less than a mile, with sidewalk all the way. There is an enormous Jacuzzi, a basic kitchenette, a queen bed (with a mattress that was uncomfortably firm for me) and a bathroom with a decent shower. It's advertised for up to 4 guests, and extra sleeping accomodation exists, but it's an air mattress which sinks during the night. I also note that the long and rickety wooden steps, wet in the constant mist, are treacherous or impossible for anyone with any degree of disability.  As a middle aged couple with big kids, this was the wrong place for us, and seemed expensive for what we got. For a young couple, I think it would be excellent.
