We stayed at 16a for 1 night and had a lovely relaxing stay. The house is finished beautifully and our room was clean and spacious, and the bed was so comfy. Great communication from the host Hannah, and the location is great, only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Winchester. Highly recommend Kyoto Kitchen for sushi dinner out too. We would definitely stay again, thank you!

Perfect night away

We absolutely loved 16a! Hannah and her team have done such an incredible job of managing this property. Very cute and cosy interiors, spacious rooms and lovely decor. 

Considering these COVID times, 16a felt clean and you can see the efforts the team made to ensure proper sanitisation. 

There are 3 other rooms in the property, but we did not see anyone during our long weekend stay, so it is quiet and private. 

The location for Winchester was brilliant! Within a 5-10 minute walk of anywhere you may need to get to in the town. 

Highly recommend! 

A gem in the town!

It's a converted schoolhouse (I think) in the centre of Winchester, done very stylishly and different from standard 'boutique' hotels, although not strictly a hotel as there are no staff on hand, but that's all fine. Our room (98....which is a bit misleading as I think there are only three rooms here) was great and stylish, with v comfortable pillows, bed etc and bath up on a mezzanine plus bathroom below with v good shower etc. Definitely recommend the place

Different, stylish, very comfortable and great location

Self catering luxury room/ en-suite with communal kitchen/ dining room/ lounge. 
Very expensively refurbished older property . All the little extras one needs are catered for. Milk/ bread/ butter/ tea/ coffee / fruit in the kitchen. Nice touch was underfloor heating in the en suite. Limited parking options.

Beautiful stay in this idyllic home in the centre of Winchester, firstly the location was great, easy to find and very close to the town centre with all the buzzing restaurants and bars. The house is in a small courtyard tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main city centre, the interior is just beautiful, it is very well decorated with lots of small things that make it so special and welcoming. Hannah has truly thought of everything for this to be the best experience. The downstairs area has everything you need to make your stay comfortable, a very well equip kitchen with a good selection of teas and breakfast. I loved the library and could of spent the whole evening in there without the need to go out for dinner! 

Our room was also stunning, it really had the feel of a 5 star luxury hotel, the room had everything you needed and more, a great basket of essentials that you are likely to forget (my hairbrush, took a comb out of the generous basket of essentials) with a lovely shower and bath in the room. The bed was so comfy and welcoming I never wanted to leave. 

I cannot recommend 16a enough, it was just a beautiful, relaxing and well needed stay! I look forward to returning soon!

Romantic getaway for valentines

Can't recommend 16a highly enough. It is a fantastic boutique b&b right in the centre of Winchester. The building is a converted dance hall, so it has loads of character! The kitchen, living room and hallway are all done beautifully. And the bedroom was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. The location is fantastic! It would be a brilliant place to go with a group of friends. 
Only thing to note is that this used to be a guest house, but is now self-catered. I'd read lots of reviews talking about the fantastic breakfasts - but it's a make-it-yourself situation. Though - there's bread, eggs, milk etc provided.

The BEST Boutique B&B

What a beautiful suprise awaited me on arriving at 16a for my 5oth Birthday! From the stunning exterior to the beautiful interior I was blown away and felt so at home form the word go. Great to be able to take our own champagne and sit in the beautiful gardens eating area we had a fabulous evening. The quality of everything at 16a is top notch and was a joy to stay. I certainly recommend this beautiful, quiet, tranquil experience to all and only a stones throw form the beautiful bustling streets of Winchester for a good shop too! Thanks for an amazing stay. :)

Stunning Birthday Treat!

My partner and I came to Winchester for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Having read the multiple 5 star reviews we decided to book at 16a.

The B&B is so beautiful and got us thinking how we can renovate our home! The house is big enough so you don’t feel that you’re on top of any other guests. You therefore get to enjoy the communal spaces without feeling you need to head up to your bedroom straight away.

The little touches are so lovely - the yoga corner, the movie room and the board games shelf. We also really enjoyed the grand piano.

We were in room 19, which was so beautiful. The bed is huge and unbelievably comfy - also the room came with a bath up the ladder stairs which was a lovely touch!

The breakfast food that was provided was great and the self catered kitchen area meant you could get up in your own time and make food. Also plenty of fridge and pantry space if you want to bring your own food/ drink with you. 

Check in/ check out was very straight forward and the information provided was very helpful.

My first visit to Winchester and likely to return and stay at 16a.

Great Birthday weekend

As above, we came straight from our wedding venue. And were welcomed perfectly. Amazing place, amazing host. soooo beautiful with the log fire and the piano in the entrance-every detail was perfect ! We couldnt have asked for more-great brekkie too!

Amazing boutique b n b , fantastic host... wow!!

We stayed here overnight and couldn’t fault it. Super central location for our visit to Winchester Christmas market. Beautiful and cozy space with superb bedrooms. Hannah was extremely friendly and a wonderful host. The breakfast was fabulous (and healthy !)
