Stayed for 1 night whilst visting  nearby friends. Absolutely loved it and will return! Great room, comfy bed, gorgeous views of garden, lovely breakfast served in our room (Covid). Lovely hostess, vert friendly. Felt very safe in Covid times.

Superb

Had a couple of nights in this sympathetically and tastefully converted barn. Although it was excessively windy, rainy and cold outside, the room was toasty warm and quiet.
In fact, you couldn't hear any noise in the room - no traffic, storm or anything.

The breakfast in the morning would put 5-star hotels to shame - plenty of it, freshly cooked and done to our exacting requirements (including vegetarian) - all in a delightful farmhouse style front room. Jean was amazingly welcoming without being intrusive. 

A rare find in a beautiful part of the world. A great place to find peace and quiet, and a sky full of stars. Perfect!

Blissfully quiet and first class service

This is the second time we've stayed here as it is very local to the friends we were visiting. Jean made us so welcome and the rooms are lovely. The duvets, pillows and towels are all squashy, comfy and fluffy. Little touches like fresh milk in the hallway fridge, (no pasteurised capsules) and many extras in the bathroom make you feel very welcome. The choice for breakfast is varied and presented well. The food is plentiful and cooked freshly and needless to say-delicious! Can't wait til our next visit.

Return visit

My wife and I are regular guests, and always look forward to our stay. It is the best B&B that we have ever stayed in, setting, accommodation and food are all excellent. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, the dining room is a lovely place to enjoy a great breakfast.

Such a nice place to stay

Small farm set in the middle of the fertile flat land around Spalding formerly used for growing their famous tulips. Welcoming hosts. Lovely warm room on 1st floor of adjacent barn conversion...tastefully decorated in keeping with the building. No shower, but had claw footed bath with genuine old fashioned  "bullet taps"...you do not see those often these days.Delicious breakfast in farmhouse kitchen.

Lovely accommodation in carefully converted barn

We stayed at Westgate House recently on what must have been one of the wettest, windiest nights of the year.  Our room was lovely and warm and cosy though so it didn't matter at all.  The rooms are in a converted barn across the garden accessed by an outside metal staircase.   Breakfast next morning was served in the main house which in itself was a delight.  A good choice and well cooked.  If we were passing through the area again we would not hesitate to go back.  Many thanks to Jean for looking after us.

Cosy and comfortable stay.

Hubby booked this as a surprise weekend away and what a wonderful choice he made. Jean and Mike are great, warm and friendly hosts. Only 2 rooms in the converted in the barn one double with bath the other twin with shower. Rooms are decorated in keeping with the style of an old farmhouse/barn ours the twin was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the main house was lovely, choice of cereals to start and then a choice of cooked options. You definitely need a car as it is very rural which adds to the charm, Monday morning rush hour was a tractor going past. Highly recommend for a quite idyllic break and would definitely return.

Beautiful 3 night break

We recently stayed two nights at this B & B and consider it an absolute gem - a perfect spot to unwind in a rural location, yet perfectly located for visiting Spalding (10 minutes drive), Lincoln or numerous other interesting locations.

The two bedrooms are located in a barn and breakfast is taken a very short walk away, in the main house house across the garden.

Great attention to detail and quality has been paid in the renovation and decor of the bedrooms and of the dining room in the main house. Breakfast was delicious, with four main options being available for cooked breakfast in addition to cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast with homemade preserves, tea and coffee. Our hostess and host were friendly and helpful, without being obtrusive. With independent access to our rooms we were given all the privacy necessary for a perfect stay.

I would have no hesitation about recommending Westgate House to anyone. It is truly exceptional and I am already looking for an excuse to treat myself to another visit.
