Have just returned from a 2 night break at this fabulous place. We were booked in to the deluxe room with our own private entrance and courtyard. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean, amazing quality bedding which I found very hard to get out of! Breakfast was great on both days one day full English and yesterday smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, very helpful and friendly hosts would definitely return. Thank you so much for a great stay 

Fabulous 

This is a marvellous place to stay. Immaculate, welcoming and great breakfasts. Alan and Alison are perfect hosts and know the area well so they can direct you to attractions and eating establishments. A lovely place in a beautiful location..

Lake District Gem

Absolutely immaculate and extremely clean and tidy from the bedroom to the en suite. The en suite is very nice loved the roll top bath. 

Alan and Alison always greeted us with smile, nothing was too much trouble, very impressed.
Alan gives good advice on places of interest, where to eat etc Alison makes the most wonderful breakfast can't thank you guys enough for making our stay perfect.

In regards to comments on no  take away food this is common so why mention this, complicated notices sorry but I need to disagree here as I never thought the two notices that our hosts have put in the room and en suite were complicated at all, in fact I totally understand why these are needed.

Alison and Alan give Goose the cat a cuddle from me and don't change a thing your fab hosts and hope to stay again soon, Sheena & Duncan

Perfect getaway

Myself and husband have just returned from a 2 day break at Carleton Green and had a lovely time. We stayed in the ground floor studio room which has it's own separate entrance and outdoor area. The room itself was very spacious, clean and well decorated with a comfortable king size bed and separate bathroom with power shower and toileteries. Alan was very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us detailed information on where to visit and to eat which  was very helpful. The breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice available. We really enjoyed our stay and felt Carleton Green to be a good base to visit the Western Lakes.

Lovely Break

Stayed here for 3 nights and from the moment we entered the property we could not have felt more welcomed by Alan and Alison they are amazing hosts. Providing us with local information for restaurants, walks, visit etc. 
Our room was beautiful and the bed was so comfy we slept wonderful for the 3 nights that we stayed in the property. Each morning we enjoyed fresh fruit, followed by a stunning cooked breakfast you couldn't wish for a better way to start the day. 
I would highly recommend this B&B and we will certainly be back. Thank you for having us.

Stunning house and location

Had a really lovely stay here over the weekend. Super comfortable bed, nice room, and an amazing home cooked breakfast! Very friendly hosts who were very helpful and knowledgable with advice on the local area. The hotel was just a short drive from the beautiful Wast Water and Scafell Pike. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful

I would tell you more but we didn't stay in your hotel in September, I had a phone call from you but didn't answer as never booked here. But would like to say it looks a really nice place and very clean, the photos I seen was very nice, sorry I can't write anymore.
