We booked a deluxe double room on the spur of the moment. Wow!! The inn itself is amazing nestled in the pretty village of Gosforth. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, even remembering my name! We happened to be staying there for their first Apres Ski Party, a chilled atmosphere in the beer garden with fire pits, outdoor bar and food and live DJ and saxophonist. What an amazing experience - we will definitely be returning. The evening meal of tapas was delicious and the breakfast was exceptional. Highly recommend Gosforth Hall Inn. 

We stopped off on a whim for a quick drink and wow, amazing place with lovely hosts. Had the vest couple of hours just chatting with Barbara and Rod. Completely unexpected but what a find. We didnt stay but we were shown the rooms and would definitely return to stay. Down to earth, welcoming, beautiful pub with gorgeous dogs to boot. Gutted we are not in walking distance to sip some more wines and talk an evening away but if you find yourself near the Gosforth, count yourself lucky. Thank you so much for your hospitality! Great room in the Annex, very spacious and quiet. We had dinner bed and breakfast. Dinner was amazing - very tasty venison and haggis pie with freshly cooked vegetable and mash.  Breakfast really good - pick your own 5 choices from a menu.  Very friendly and efficient staff.  Will definitely return when next in Cumbria.

Had a superb few stay for few days .. bedroom was very comfortable ..we stayed in a Hall bedroom. Food was excellent and staff very friendly, professional and accommodating. Love the decor .. gave a welcoming feeling. We will be back for sure

Great, friendly accommodating staff, newly refurbished contemporary bedrooms, kept with the old beams, and stone walls intact. Great outside terrace area. Breakfast was superb. Set next to an old church in the lovely village of Gosforth

Charming hotel in the small village of Gosforth with plenty of history inside this hotel.
The bedroom I had was in the main building and was worthy of five stars.
Tastefully modernised without losing the charm of a past era. 
Clean and spacious with everything you need for a comfortable stay. 
Staff very friendly and patient with everyone’s needs. 
Food varied and something for everyone’s tastes. 
If your there when the quiz night takes place go along and enjoy the fun. 
Lots to do in the area so get out and about .

The room we had was perfect. We had 3 labs with us and the room was plenty big enough !. We stayed in A1 which has a shared space with table couches and  TV outside the locked bedrooms.  We were lucky had the whole thing to ourselves. Barbara and all the staff were so attentive nothing was too much trouble. We had good weather so sitting in the beautiful outside space of an evening was great. Tapas for tea lovely really enjoyed our stay

Our recent stay here was lovely. The room was clean & had everything we needed. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious, we both had a pie & would definitely recommend. Breakfast was really good. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Next time we are up visiting the area we will definitely stay here again. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Such a lovely, quiet place to stay in a quaint village. We stayed 3 nights with my 15 month old dog to celebrate my birthday.
We all first visited Springbank Week 2023 while we were staying at Ravenglass. We stopped off for lunch on a beautiful sunny day and ate Tapas in the beer garden. Such a lovely place to chill out....we felt like we were abroad. The beer garden is brilliant and the Tapas is superb. So much so, we booked to visit for my birthday.
We stayed in the annex next to the hotel car park . It was so comy, modern and clean. Perfect dog facilities. We ate breakfast and our evening meal in the hotel itself. We had a full english each morning as it was just too good to resist. There is a good menu choice for an evening meal . Tapas or burgers, pies etc. Either way, the food is plentiful, really tasty and value for money. Washed down with a pint of Wainright's or two :).
We participated in the Sunday evening quiz with the locals....came last, but it was a good laugh.
The staff are just brilliant, all lovely people who work hard to look after a stunning place. The hotel owners are really kind, down to earth people. I received an unexpected bottle of Prosecco as we were leaving....as a birthday present. Such a kind, lovely gesture. I was made up :).
Wasdale Head and Wast Water is a short drive away. Such an amazing place to visit and for dogs to paddle. Mine jumped straight in.
Gosforth Hall, we will be back. Thank you for a brilliant stay and birthday x

Gosforth Hall is what we like to call our Hidden Gem. Lovely character hotel and you are made to feel very welcome and you soon settle in and enjoy some great food, bar and the outside terrace garden is great. Perfect for your escape to the Lakes and we can’t wait to be back soon .. Cheers!
