5 Star absolutely immaculate room was superb can not falt it brilliant location free parking highly recomend it, the host very helpful had been before wouldnt stop anywhere else best in whitby by far should be a 10 score on trip adviser lovely hot shower bed was comfortable didn't want to get up

Jayne and Keith (not forgetting Dottie) are excellent hosts. We had the Ramsdale Room, a large room, with a comfortable sofa, walk in shower and plenty of wardrobe space.

It is in a good location (certainly for those without mobility issues, as it is halfway up Prospect Hill) with parking.

Excellent guest house.

Excellent B and B choice in Whitby. Gorgeous home, spotlessly clean, lovely hosts and free off street parking. Now, if you don’t know Whitby, parking is at a premium pretty much everywhere. Jayne and Keith couldn’t be more helpful, went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Comfy bed, good shower/bathroom, and oh so quiet. It’s an easy walk to everything, if you’re reasonably fit - Whitby is very hilly. No breakfast provided at this time, but tea/coffee facilities in room. Recommend!

Great choice in Whitby

What a beautiful find this guest house is stunning and the owners Jayne and Keith make you feel so welcome and make sure that you stay is 1st class.  There is also ample parking at the residence. We would recommend this lovely place to anyone visiting Whitby.  The location is 6 minute walk to the main area of Whitby with bars and restaurants a plenty.

Lovely place.

We had an excellent stay, the room was very comfortable and spacious with everything you could need. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Jayne who was really helpful advising us on places to eat in Whitby centre and giving us directions. Fab location east walk into Whitby centre. We would definitely recommend Overdale guesthouse and would visit again soon! Thank you for a lovely weekend! 

Great stay at Overdale would defo recommend!

My partner and I stayed in the Grimshaw room for our anniversary weekend and we can't fault the place or Jayne. There is nothing we would change and Jayne was lovely, welcoming and very helpful. The room was  faultless. Thank you Jayne, outstanding.

Overdale Guesthoue Whitby - Wonderful anniversary break

We stayed for three nights in the room at the front of the building on the first floor. It was really large, spotlessly clean with a comfortable king bed, two seater sofa,  TV, lots of storage for clothes and toiletries and a small but functional bathroom in one corner of the room. There was no fridge. On site parking is available at the front of the property. The location is superb as it is within walking distance of the harbour and if driving, easy access in and out of Whitby. Jayne was very welcoming and friendly with tips for sightseeing and local restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

10 min walk down to the harbour where all the restaurants are
Leave your car in the parking area and use the bus to visit other areas

Excellent place

Our room was fantastic, really comfortable with lots of storage space. We had an amazing bathroom, it was large with a roll top bath and separate shower. The location is perfct with easy access to the town, and perfect as a base if you plan on visiting the local area and beyond.
