Food is always faultless, good portion sizes and great quality - staff attentive and nice - best place to eat in portstewart - chilli beef wrap is 10/10 & the roulade is the best I’ve had! prices are really reasonable for the high quality food.

We stayed here recently about 12 of us from Photography Club, The staff are so friendly and went out of their way to provide us with whatever we requested,  The food was really good and very reasonably priced, I would definitely return 

Great accomodation & Wonderful Food

They serve decent food in here and with a smile too!  Its not fine dining as such but its excellent value, nicely presented.  I was surprised at the extent of the menu so there are plenty of choices for all tastes.  It compares very favourable with other restaurants in the Portstewart area.

Decent food at a good price.

The rooms are very spacious. (I booked 4 rooms for 4 gentlemen of a certain age!) Each one of us had a large room with 2 double beds. Good powerful shower although I'm not a fan of shower curtains as they tend to attack you mid shower. However I understand the need for a bath as 2 of our guests preferred baths. Proper toilet roll too!! Quilted! The staff could not have been better and looked after us really well. Breakfast was freshly cooked and ordered individually. Lovely thick toast too. Our meal in the evening was fantastic. 4 steaks all cooked to perfection at a great price. Wine is also inexpensive. Price per night was brilliant and we will return again soon. Each of us said we would return again with our wives too. Well done to all the staff. 2 Heathers and Nicole worth a mention! Thank you. PS. Large carpark on site right beside a petrol station with shop.

Fantastic family run restauarant/hotel at great price.

Myself and 6 of my friends went for dinner on Saturday night. To be fair the restaurant was busy but we got seated quickly, we then waited 10 minutes to have a drink order taken, we then continued to wait 15 minutes for 3 cocktails. 

We had placed our food order, 6 out of 7 of us had got steaks, at least 2 of the steaks came out wrong and we’re blue instead of medium rare, they fixed this problem. 

2 of the steaks had to be sent back to the kitchen as they were too fatty and we couldn’t eat them. We were offered something different but we were just put off our food completely.

Then as our food was being cleared, one of us had barely touched one of our steaks and the “manager” (if you could even call her that) proceeded to take the steak knife off the plate and cut into the steak in front of us saying “that’s a beautiful steak” then cleared the rest of the table. 

Carrying on with our own conversation, I had rolled my eyes at my friend and the manager had seen me do this then proceeded to ask me if my dinner was okay, even though I had sent my food back to the kitchen over 15 minutes ago as I couldn’t eat it and explained this to her. 

I had them asked for our bill to be brought to us as we were still finishing off our drinks, waited 10 minutes and never seen it so we went up to the till and asked for it. When reviewing the bill, I had seen we had been charged for all of our meals even though 2 of the steaks were sent back to the kitchen and we had only ate 2 bites of each. 

I said to the woman serving us that we wanted them to be taken off the bill as we had not ate them, she then said she would get her “manager”. The “manager” came out of the kitchen and said there was nothing wrong with the steaks and that they wouldn’t be taken off the bill, I then reiterated my point saying we had ate 2 bites of it and that we didn’t want to pay for them as they had been sent back as they were inedible.

She then proceeded to go back into the kitchen and brought out the steaks we had previously send back to the kitchen, sliced up and told us that herself and the chef had ate them and there was nothing wrong with them. I still kept strong and said that no we wouldn’t be paying for them as we had never ate them.

Then she proceeded to slam her hands down on the counter beside the till and said “who was it that flicked their eyes at me” I had told her I had rolled my eyes at my friend in our own conversation and that it was nothing to do with her, to take the steaks off the bill and that we would pay for the rest. 

She then took them off the bill, and very rudely said “don’t youse be coming back here”. With having been a manager in hospitality myself, I just thought that this was very rude and not the way a manger should act to a paying customer. If I was in that situation, the food would’ve been taken off straight away and there would’ve been absolutely no fuss like that made. 

Absolutely disgusting customer service and it is a place that we will never be back. It is an absolute joke.

Awful service

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The room very spacious and spotless. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast and dinner were fabulous. Parking space and very close to city Portstewart city centre and the strand. Portrush just a couple of minutes drive. 
Highly recommend this place and will be back.

Lovely stay

Whenever I am in Ulster, I will stay here. Never ever (even a bit) disappointed! Super friendly staff, large rooms (excellent value for money), very clean, very homey feeling and the food in the restaurant (for breakfast lunch and dinner) is great. Will be returning!

Home away from home

Very clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly. We had both breakfast and dinner on two  occasions. These were well presented and tasty. We have been again since in October and plan again for  November.

Excellent service.

While on holiday on the North Coast we dined in this lovely restaurant every evening.  The food, the staff & the service were all outstanding & very reasonably priced.  Can't wait until next spring/summer to eat back up North & to revisit The Cremore Halt.
