The hotel staff were very friendly. The decor looked a bit tired. The hotel could do with redecorating to brighten it up. The bed was comfortable and the bedding and towels were clean. The view across the bay was lovely. You could see right across to the Lake District on a clear day.

Friendly place

Poorly maintained, lackadaisical staff, no breakfast included.  Traffic noise from the main road. Not a place I would recommend for holidays but suitable for overnight stop if you're stuck for a place.

Cheap accommodation

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night whilst we were in Morecambe for a gig and it was shocking how unclean the room was. Aside from the bedding and towels everything else was covered in bird poop. There was even a birds nest in the wardrobe! It was laughable really. Never seen anything like it. This place really needs an inspection as I have recently read a review with a similar theme. So it’s not like they have done anything about the issue. The owner refunded £10 off of our stay which again was laughable. It was an experience. Not one that I would like to encounter again though. 
A few other issues:
Bedroom window unable to close
Bathroom door unable to close 
Milk for the tea/coffee a year out of date 
Severe water damage to the ceiling.

B&B (Bed & Birds)

My son and I wanted to stay one night as it was Easter in morecambe.i looked at trip advisor and the cheapest was st cuthberts well with a saint at the helm got to be ok.i managed to negotiate a room for £45 paid without looking at other reviews please see them I looked at room seemed very dated and slight smell in bathroom no shower coming back at 930pm my son used toilet flushed and a smell came from it as the night drew on I used toilet flushed well hell and haides I thought it was the sewerage works I phoned the owner at 1130pm he came to room said you got it cheap enough and to move you I want extra £15 I said we will take the same bedding he said if you go I refund £30 I accepted to be as far away from this disgusting hell hole it needs removing from any trip advisor sites I wouldn’t even have got breakfast but read other reviews and stay well clear of this place I’m lucky to have such an understanding son who slept soundly in car on way home.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

This is the first hotel review I have ever wrote but I feel I need to warn people about this place. 

The check in area/receptions is VERY dated and in need of a clean. When we arrived at the reception desk there was no body around. We found a key on reception desk and a piece of paper with two phone numbers, both of which were not answering the phone. We then waited for 20minutes for someone to arrive, who rudely gave us our key and sent us upstairs. The stairs and landing areas were awful. We walked down the wrong corridor (as not given instruction to get to our room and no signs on the walls) which was covered in litter! It was disgusting and i hope no one was staying in the rooms down there. Our room, number 2, was clean but very old and musty. No hot water and there was tea tray on the floor to put your shoes? And a radiator hanging off the wall...

As we went out for the day, we didn’t return until 11pm to which we found the front door open, and the reception area unmanned and in darkness. This made us feel very uncomfortable, so we actual put items behind our bedroom door to feel safe! We didn’t sleep all night as all we could here was a very loud buzzing noise every few minutes. Not sure what that was?!

To conclude, i will NEVER stay here again and would even consider reporting this place.

Place needs shutting down

The door to my room wouldn’t lock from the inside... someone came into my room in the middle of the night... bloody terrifying! I had to move furniture in front of the door to make myself feel safe! 
Also there were no towels, the duvet looked filthy, there were damp patches on the ceiling, the curtains were coming off the rails. The whole place was filthy and stank of curry.
