I only stayed a night but I was extremely impressed .My room was clean and the bed was lovely.
My breakfast was amazing and John the owner couldn’t have been more helpful.I would definitely recommend staying and I look forward to my next visit.

Great stay .

Room was great owners very friendly and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a bed and breakfast . Place is very easy to find within walking distance to town centre with plenty of local restaurants

All in all cannot recommend enough

Perfect

My corner room was stifling hot and there was no availability of even a simple desk fan. When the weather turned to rain and cooler, the room was still uncomfortably hot. Unfortunately the bed was very hard and pillows lumpy, all appearing old and needs replacing. As a result I suffered backache and a stiff neck after two nights.
Breakfast unimaginative and only white toast offered. I found it offputting to discover hairs on my side plate and floating on the milk.
I am sad to say I cannot recommend this guesthouse.

Dated jaded atmosphere

Stayed the one night after a day at the racers , great location to the racecourse 15 minutes stroll and a 10 minute walk into town . The room was clean and tidy a little dated had tv , clock radio and tea coffee facilities. We had breakfast which was lovely, the hosts are really friendly and helpful. 

LOVELY BREAKFAST: LOVELY HOSTS 

Very Disappointing, from the reviews this place  sounded perfect and not too expensive. However the place is very dated. we shared a twin room the beds were to narrow and I can only assume they use cheap detergent for the Laundry the sheets had a waxy feel and affected my asthma. The bedroom chair almost collapsed on us, The shower was useless with no water pressure and ran hot and cold, in fact we gave up. The only redeeming aspect was the breakfast and the place was clean. The people themselves friendly enough but could make the place so much better.

Wouldn’t Visit again

Stayed here for one night as we was attending the horse racing. Perfect location for this as it's a ten minute walk from the guest house. Rooms are lovely and clean. Bed was nice and comfy and breakfast in the morning was delicious. Owners were lovely, helpful and chatty. I would recommend staying here

Lovely stay

We stayed here as it was handy for the races and the town. My room had been recently refurbished to a good standard. Lovely soft mattress ensured a good night's sleep ready for the excellent breakfast. Ample parking ensured a good stay.

Good B&B in a great location

Gloomy, dated and dull.
Much in need of an overall refurb......you only need to cast your eye over the front porch and it’s tatty appearance to know what’s coming!
Bog standard facilities with a bog standard breakfast to boot.
Landlady seems charming and genuine enough, landlord anything but, with a smile as genuine as a fake Rolex.
Steer clear is my advice.
