I stayed here with four of my friends in May and have another visit booked to go back in December. The landlord is very accommodating and also has a manager on site. We had arranged to meet the landlord on site to get the keys, our train made us late, but the landlord was fine about that. The apartments are very secure and surprisingly quite giving that they are right in the city centre. We found the apartment to be very comfortable, our apartment was on 2 levels, one bedroom had a double bed and 2 twin beds with a bathroom next door (which could probably do with a little bit of an upgrade) and the other bedroom was a king size bedroom with on suite. The lounge is a good size with plenty of seating, large tv and small balcony. The dining area is quite small and the kitchen compact. The Kings Dock is next to the famous Albert Dock, which is accessed by walking over a small bridge. The apartments are ideal for events at the Echo Arena as they are only a few minutes walk away. There is a Pizza Express in front of the Echo Arena and many other restaurants on the Albert Dock. It only takes a 4 or 5 minute walk to be in the Liverpool 1 shopping centre, which is brilliant, and if walking to Matthew's Street  (which is the night-life hot spot) it probably only takes about 7 or 8 minutes. The apartments are on the opposite side of the road from the Jury's Inn and there always seemed to be taxis waiting for business outside of there, which was really convenient! There is a Tesco Express at the end of the Liverpool 1 shopping centre (opposite the Debenhams shop) which was convenient for supplies. If going by rail and getting a taxi to the apartment, tell the driver to take you to the Jury's Inn, as they didn't seem to have heard of the Archers Apartments.

Fabulous place to stay

The apartments are in a good central location for shopping and restaurants in Liverpool One and are in a quiet, secure area.  We had good communication with the pleasant owners before our stay.

However, our apartment was not 'luxurious' but worn and tired with lots of things needing attention.  All added up to make our stay not very comfortable.  We were glad to move on after two nights.

Not a very comfortable stay

The flat was very clean and it was 10 min walking to the city centre and next to the Albert Dock.
The only problem I had was that the landlord was not there and finding him was a little bit difficult (it's not a full apartments-for-tourists-for-rent building), but I spoke to the building manager and he could call the landlord and arrange a meeting time to give me the keys.
We were 5 people and we were very confortable there... the upstairs bedroom is ensuite and very big, and the kitchen is very well equiped.
If we have to come back to Liverpool we'll go again to Archers!
