Drinks were an acceptable price, no complaints however, the food was awful and nowhere near worth the level of money being charged. 

The pizzas was worse than a frozen pizza (£17) which was sent back to the kitchen. We also had fish and chips - the fish was ok but the chips were also frozen/bland/microwavable chips. There were no condiments other than sachets of salt and pepper which for the price, is unacceptable. 

The pub was cold and the staff were not trained on how to use a log burner.

If you’re going in for just drinks, then fair enough. If planning a meal, I recommend avoiding and going to the Spar next door.

Waste of money for food

So glad we didn't get influenced by some of the negative reviews we read! We were given a very warm and friendly welcome. It was really busy but we got a table to sit down with our dog. We decided to order some food, I had scampi and my husband the fish. Both meals arrived promptly,  hot and very tasty with chips, tartare sauce and garden peas. The atmosphere was great, yes the place could do with a bit of TLC but I suppose it goes with the old rustic look. Nice little stop, full of locals but also visitors. 

Rustic old traditional pub 

Really enjoyed our trip there on a dark and dreary Saturday night. Reason for 4* was due to only one beer on tap being available (outside of their control) and a slight lack of atmosphere - some music would have been great. Otherwise the food, chat and service was class.

Good pub

We were a group of work colleagues working in Mull all week. We chose to eat out of our hotel on our last night and Craignure Inn was recommended to us by a local. We were not disappointed. Food is absolutely 💯 fantastic. Pizzas made fresh to order, excellent value and portions plentiful. Cannot fault except maybe for, the dining area itself could have been warmer however the welcome and service was by far the best. Highly recommend. Don’t expect fancy decor etc but you won’t leave hungry or disappointed.

Simply delicious 😋 

Really great wee pub. Definitely what I would describe as an old man pub but that’s a good thing!! Drinks were decent price, good vibe, shoutout to the barman called Simon (I think) who was great! Definitely recommend for anyone staying in Isle of Mull hotel and spa as it’s close distance and far cheaper for food & drink. The food was great as well!!

Five star

In a curiously quaint but cute old pub, I found damaged, uncomfortable furniture, a sticky table and very relaxed service. Food took nearly half an hour to be served, despite there bring just one other guest at first, but was much better than anticipated.

Not again

Can’t tell you how awful this hotel is. The carpets are disdusting and even our friends had to put a towel over the dirty stained chair in their room to sit down. At breakfast the milk was off the cooked breakfast was over cooked and almost unedible. Absolute disgrace to Scotland’s hospitality which I am am very proud of. Luckily our NZ friends are good friends!! Just a disgrace.

After a long drive from Glasgow and getting into Craignure in the evening, we decided to go for one drink at the Craignure Inn. We walked for 20 minutes to get there, arriving at 10.30pm. We checked online to see it closed at 11pm so though we would be on-time for last orders. When we arrived there wasn't anyone behind the bar counter and one quite loud group of people drinking in the bar. We stood for a few minutes and then one man from the group of people drinking, eventually came round to behind the bar to tell us the bar had closed. I asked about the opening times, and he said sorry tonight we have already closed early. Disappointed we left, as two men arrived and went inside. The man in the bar who had seconds before just told us they had closed, then served the two men who had gone in after us. It seems the bar was only closed for us. Spoiled our evening a little bit and will not be going back to this pub on our next trip to Mull. 

Disappointing Experience

The hospitality in The Craignure Inn is second to none. Small place with great craic, amazing staff and Matthew the owner is an absolute saint putting up with my drunken antics! Food is great, plentiful and reasonably priced. If you’re on the island visiting and are looking for a decent dram with a decent bit of craic, you have to spend some hard earned cash here it’s well worth it 😊 just sorry we can’t visit more often. 

Cracking wee place

I'd like to make people aware this premises is not dog or child friendly. It's advertised as dog friendly and family friendly for people on short breaks. We found this is absolutely not the case. My daughter is type 1 diabetic and it's very important that we plan meals in advance especially when going somewhere unfamiliar. So when on a week's vacation we planned a day trip to mull Google searched a place to have a meal before getting the ferry home the day before. This bar restaurant was where we selected to try because it's location was within a short walk of the ferry terminal. We phoned ahead the day before to make sure it was dog and child friendly and would provide a hot meal for us. We were told no problem. So after a great family day out we went in to find a barman that scoffed if you have a child you'll need to sit through there. Which wasn't a problem but me and my partner picked up on the way it was said so as I ordered drinks I gave a large tip in an attempt to change the attitude of the barman. Our dog barked on two separate occasions over the space of an hour one of which was in reaction to another dog In the bar area. When coming back in from having a smoke our dog barked a 3rd time and the barman came through and said if he continues to do that he'll have to go but we found this very strange as literally he had went through a full dog chew sitting at our feet so by no means had he been annoying anyone. I took him for a walk as my daughters pizza was cooking and when I was walking the dog I received a message saying me and my dog aren't welcome back in the bar and then another saying the barman snaped at my daughter asking her mum for a refill on a diet coke saying " children aren't allowed in the bar" in a manner that would upset an 8 year old and it had that exact reaction. My daughter no longer wanted to eat in that premises. We were effectively stranded with 2 hours to wait for the ferry in the rain with the only option for getting our diabetic daughter a meal for her tea was the spar shop which had no hot food available at that time. The experience in that bar restaurant was one that change our experience of the family day out and mull in general. If you only welcome completely silent dogs and or children that sit in silence then they shouldn't say dog friendly or child friendly. By no means could my dogs behaviour be considered bad in any way I believe the barman had an issue before we even walk through the door.

In accurate advertising, very poor service to the point my daughter left upset on family day out.
