Avoid like the plague, this is certainly not luxurious accommodation as stated. 
The place is filthy, the cooker is extremely unhygienic including all crockery and cutlery were all unusable, to say they have seen better days is an understatement. 
Walls damp and plaster coming off. Shower room doesn’t drain away and spills over into the bedroom. No plug for the bath so not sure how you are meant to bathe. 
And the most disgusting thing of all was the soap they left out for us. Both bars had been previously used…we are in the middle of a world wide pandemic where cleanliness is meant to be paramount and we are left with pre used soap. 
The owner was conveniently away at the time, so only had her step daughter to complain to. 
No apologies for the complaint and they had the cheek to charge us for the first night...
Having travelled 8 hours from Scotland, we had no choice but to stay the first night given distance we had travelled and the time of our arrival. 
We were out of there like a shot though once it was daylight. - Very Disapointing and still no response from the owner!

Avoid like the Plague

Amazing place and amazing scenery. Very welcoming owners and are there for anything you need! My brother really enjoyed the chickens and dogs coming to have a nosey. Would highly recommend. The log burner and baedrooms with the the en suites are marvellous! Thanks Rachel!

Excellent

A couple of nights in January spent in this fantastic location.
Wonderful countryside, a great welcome and a lovely space to spend time out of the January cold.
The rooms are attractive and comfortable with a cosy log burner for peaceful evenings.
I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the hosts, especially over a cooked breakfast and what a pleasure it was to stay where it's properly dark at night and the stars shine brightly.
I will certainly return to Clearvewe when I next need to spend time in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyable off-season stay

What a beautiful cottage looked after by fabulous people who could not do enough for me. The facilities are excellent, comfortable and easy to use. The cottage is spacious yet very cosy and wonderful home from home. The breakfast, with eggs from their own chickens and a warm homemade loaf of bread, was delicious. I highly recommend staying here and I shall return!

After the end of the game at 730 pm in Cardiff we were pleased that we’d booked the B and B instead of returning to London the same day . 
We stopped for dinner at the Nag’s Head in Usk . Delicious. A ten minute drive up the hill from the pub along quite country lanes and a few hills we came to our cosy barn for the night. The hosts were very welcoming. The beds  dry comfortable. The breakfast  also delicious using local food. Definitely worth staying .

Family overnight stay after visiting the Rugby match in Cardiff

I needed accommodation for a whole week whilst attending a course at Humble by Nature, close to Monmouth.  Reluctant to stay in the centre of town or upstairs in a pub for this length of time, as well as looking for value for money, I did my research and chose Clearvewe.  Booking was reassuringly easy online and Rachel was quick to respond to additional emails.  The barn had good wi-fi, enabling me to work in the evenings.  The accommodation exceeded expectations and breakfast was bespoke and homemade.  I loved the sustainablity angle and would highly recommend staying with a host who was attentive and who took a genuine interest in her guests.
