Six of us recently stayed at UPTON HOUSE, Fowey and we were so impressed with the facilities and location and FOWEY in general was fabulous!  Amal is so lovely and helpful!  We can’t wait to visit again soon!  Thank you again for making our holiday so special xxxxx

A completely wonderful place to spend a few days, in idyllic Fowey.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Upton, mostly because of our completely adorable landlady.  Amal took such incredibly good care of us!  She had insider advice on what to see and when to see it. Completely essential, she arranging parking in the tight little town.  Every morning brought a new, astonishingly beautiful and delicious breakfast (+1 on the coffee).  Amal is an artist and it shows in her taste, decor and in the gallery downstairs (well worth a visit).  The whole experience is like spending time in a hip atelier... in a picturesque sea-side village.
There are inconveniences, to be sure: Our room, though generously proportioned was 1/4 full of the bathtub and only shower.  To say the toilet itself was cramped wold be kind.  All absolutely neat as a pin, though, and completely and spotless. Absolutely nothing to put off a seasoned traveler

Tucked away but still providing views over the estuary, this stylish property mirrors the personality of the creative host.  Amal provides the friendliest service and the tastiest, not to mention healthiest, breakfasts - which was a delight to see after the previous hotel.

Upton House is so quirky and different. Super clean and tidy and literally a two minute walk into town. Easy to drop off your things and then park at the top of town. Amal the owner can give you the link to pay for parking on line so it is no hassle. Amal makes you feel very at home and you have a key to the front door to come and go as you please. The breakfast is amazing...fresh berries, cereals, yogurt, croissants and preserves, pain au chocolat, french bread with cheeses and prosciutto. All yummy!
If you are a light sleeper take some ear plugs for the church bells nearby and in summer, the sea gulls dawn chorus can be loud, but rather endearing too, whilst at your fabulous seaside retreat! we have been to Upton twice and have every intention of going back for more. Thank you Amal.

This was a real surprise. A very clean and tidy hotel serving an excellent breakfast. The owner is a lovely lady, very helpful and a skilled artist. We stayed in the Skullery room which has a small bathroom with a large roll topped bath within the bedroom itself.

Had a stunning 3 nights at Upton House. Small boutique “artistic” hideaway for anyone hating large hotel chains. Amal’s french flair, warmth and hospitality, had every little detail taken care of, whilst allowing us to relax and enjoy the peaceful village of Fowey and surrounds. Highly recommended! We will be back for sure; even Charlie, her French Labradoodle eating Camembert for breakfast captured our hearts.
