It was a a fabulous old listed house,plenty of character.tastefully decorated,very comfortable accommodation,super soft bed pillows,hence a good nights sleep.James was a lovely ,friendly host,excellentBreakfast,was wonderful,cooked beautifully.Highly recommended.Loved it.

The  property is very impressive 
The history & ownership is very interesting.

Excellent

The Old Parsonage is an architectural gem. Rooms were warm and spotless and beautifully furnished. Excellent power shower, first class breakfast with home cooked muffins and fresh fruit. You must try the local Indian restaurant (10 min walk). James was the perfect host. We highly recommend. 

Don't miss staying here!

Stunning accommodation in a beautiful setting. We stayed in The Pantry….an annexe to the side of the main building. Top notch fixtures and fittings, comfy double bed with a separate single. Luxury toiletries, fluffy towels. Milk, tea, coffee and cereal provided. James was a fabulous host, advised where we could eat locally and gave directions to the golf club where we were attending a party. Nothing was too much trouble. Can heartily recommend and will definitely be going back to spend more time exploring the local area. Thank you James, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a gem of a place

We stayed at The Old Parsonage for just one night but we would absolutely stay there again. We were greeted by James upon arrival and showed to our room, Edward. I mentioned that I was cold and he popped the heating in right away :) 
Wow what a spectacular and grand room. The decor and furniture was very much in keeping with the property. Our bathroom was just across the hall but private to us. This was no bother as beautiful dressing gowns were provided and the bathroom was massive and just as beautifully decorated. 

Key positives:

The shower, so powerful. We both loved this. In fact we didn’t want to get out. 

Breakfast, incredible. The spread was out of this world and nothing was too much trouble for James. We had to take the croissant and fruit muffins away in a doggy bag as they were too tasty to leave behind. The black pudding and sausages were especially delicious.

Negatives, but not real negatives as we loved our stay:

The bed in Edward wouldn’t be suitable for anyone taller than 5ft 8/9. Our feet touched the bottom which did make me wake up once. Also we couldn’t clearly see the tv from the bed when lying down as the bottom of the bed was a little high. However saying this, it was such an beautiful, vintage bed :)

Wow what a place! 

We were over the moon when we walked into our accommodation, we were in the self catering apartment called the Nook. The accommodation itself is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and all in all just what you want and expect when you arrive for a nice break away. We were provided with a selection of cereals, milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolates. The owner was very friendly and location is beautiful as well, lots of little walks around, and everything you need is near by like co op, petrol stations and a few places to eat. Bath and cheddar gorge are about a half an hour drive away as well. We came with our dog and found it a perfect place to get away, we will definitely return here in the future! 

A little gem

 beautiful mansion house , very quiet , amazing breakfast , James & Emma are  so nice and helpful  , we had great time in our week in somerset  , returning  "home" every evening  if you  give up breakfast take the "stable" its a lovely app.  and near by a nice caffe for your breakfast 

warm, beautiful house with great hospitality 

James and Em made us feel right at home in their beautiful listed Guesthouse. The 4 poster bedroom was amazing, and the breakfasts were sublime. The property is very easy to find, well appointed, and there is loads to do out and about. We visited the Old Railway for dinner one night……an amazing find, the chef has worked around the world at various Michelin restaurants, and dinner is served in a beautiful old rail carriage! Another night at the local Indian where they couldn’t do enough for us. Overall this stay exceeded our expectations massively, and I’ve already suggested that we might stay again for my birthday in March! Thanks to you both (and the gorgeous Fergus) for your hospitality. A piece of luxury!

I‘ve discovered this place by chance and stayed there for 3 nights. 
It‘s an absolutely stunning house, located within easy reach of sights and bigger cities.
My room (George) was wonderful and very spacious, with a beautiful and comfortable four poster-bed. Breakfast was delicious, with so much care being taken to lay the table. 
The host, James, is very friendly, helpful and takes a genuine interest in his guests.

This B&B is a gem, and I will be back for sure - simply perfect. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Perfect!

Our second stay at the Old Parsonage , and just as lovely as the first time . James is a great host and goes out of his way to make sure your stay is relaxing and easy . 

This is definitely a lovely place to stay , very peaceful, and convenient for so many local areas. We spent 3 nights in the George room which is very well equipped and has a huge bathroom . It’s a well set out room with a comfy bed , sofa , everything needed to make various hot drinks and a copious supply of toiletries.

Breakfast as before had a large variety of options alongside a cooked breakfast , fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, cakes, muffins , cereal etc. James very kindly packed us a pastry or cake each day to take out with us , which were enjoyed .

In terms of location this was perfect as only half an hour away from Bath , Cheddar, Wells and Glastonbury amongst other places . The large car park meant never worrying about finding a parking space .

Lots of local places to try for dinner within 2 minutes walk to 10 minutes car trip as well . Thank you .
