We stayed in room 5, it was average, not so clean and very tired (see photos).
I trapped my fingers between the en-suite door and sink (photo 5).
Breakfast was serve yourself from a selection of cereal/pastries/toast.
We would not return.
The owner however is personable and helpful.

LUXURY - I’m afraid not

A lovely guest house and honestly I don't know what I would have done without Tina there this week.
My elderly cranky Father arrived at the airport this week and was dropped off outside another house by a taxi by mistake. It was late, dark and he was in Exeter not knowing where he was, walking around with a massive suitcase. I called Tina desperate and she went off in her car to rescue him and bring him back safely to the guest house. I cannot thank you enough, You really did go above and beyond. 
We will come and stay for sure to thank you in person next time we have an early flight.

Tina to the rescue!

Stayed at the lovely Eastcote for one night. The landlady Tina made me feel very welcome after a long day if driving. Room was adequate however as I'm a big guy shower was a bit small and not enough free shower gel. Yes coffee making facilities in room were good, could have done with more sugar sachets. Fire alarm worked ok but seems to have had damage to front cover. Very good breakfast with lots to choose from. Would defo come again. Thanks Tina.

Stayed one night

Stayed on business for just the single night. Really good value for money, but I suspect that was due to the time of year. The establishment was clean, comfortable and of ample size although the ensuite was a little tight. Really plesent proprietor who went to the trouble of contact me for an estimated arrival time. She also took my breakfast order along with required time on the evening of my arrival. I would have giving this a five star if it wasn't described as "Luxury" as other than the odd chocolate treats, this wasn't in the league of luxury establishments!

Very ok

After a lapse of several months I retuned to the above this week to find the host as welcoming as ever,the standard of the rooms as immalculate as always with food superb.I have used this establishment for over 6 years now and the quality has never waned at all. Outstanding.

Quality Maintained

Each time we visit relatives in Exeter we stay at Eastote LGH.  Tina, the owner is always so welcoming and we really feel as if we are visiting a friend.  She has a vast knowledge of the local area and makes THE best breakfast!  ELGH is situated in an excellent location to visit many tourist destinations.  It is 10 mins away from Exeter Quays and not far from Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth.  Both beautiful places to visit.  Our room (No 1)was bright an airy and overlooking the garden with a paronamic view.  All in all a relaxing, comfortable.  Tina ensures that the room is well stocked with tea, coffee, bottled water and cartons of orange juice - with added treat of chocolates!

Our favourite Guest House

Ideally situated for onward travel. Lovely room with nice touches such as chocolates, bottled water and juice. The bed was a bit soft for our liking but that is just personal choice. Fresh cooked breakfast in the conservatory. Plenty of parking.

Superb!

We stayed one night, but we were disappointed having read previous reviews on line. My husband and I found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable and we had quite a sleepless and restless night to be honest. (Room just as you come in to the entrance hall). I would recommend that the owner, Tina should invest in a new mattress. I was going to mention it at breakfast, but it was not really possible with other guests around. There was nothing really 'Luxury" about this guesthouse apart from really nice towels! I was relieved that we were only staying here one night. It was in a good position to access road networks, but of course  we discovered the drawback when trying to sleep with the window open as the traffic was particularly noisy. A cooked breakfast was served in a nice conservatory. 

Disappointing

We had a one night stay at Eastcote, travelling from one site visit to another. First off, ample parking. Easy check in, Tina had left us the keys in a safe place. Breakfast order taken on arrival,  and on Tina's recommendation a local pub/restaurant provided our evening meal. Rooms were clean, spacious and of a high standard. Shower was superb. Breakfast was excellent,  setting us up for a long drive. We would thoroughly  recommend Eastcote.

Great value

Lovely spacious room with kettle and assorted hot and cold drinks. Clean and welcoming. Tina was very helpful in organising our taxi and booking at the local pub, Half Moon, well worth a visit. Breakfast was a lovely fresh fruit salad, yogurt, pastries and cooked English if required. Brown or white toast. Eggs were free range so we opted for poached with tomatoes and mushrooms. Very tasty. Unfortunately bacon and sausages were not free range. You can park in the grounds for a fee whilst on holiday (taxi £14 -£15). Tina is a lovely hostess which allows you to overlook some areas of the room which were looking tired, and yes, we would stay again!
