We arrived at anchors drop and was greeted by Marcus that told us everything we needed to know     The accommodation was lovely and comfortable the bedding amazing, great views and sunset, The area was quite but suited us especially with the pooch who had lovely walks will definitely be back Thankyou Keith Julie and Archie🌅😊

Amazing place to stay, fantastic location and incredible hosts. Comfortable, good value and very well equipped - our group had a magical time at the Anchors drop!
The weather was very kind so the sunsets and sea views were breathtaking. The whole place felt like a real hidden gem!

We recently stayed at Anchor's Drop with over 20 of our family and friends to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. We were the first guests they had and we couldn't have had a better time! Anchor's Drop is an incredible venue, and having it all to ourselves was amazing. From the real pub bar area, to the 2 giant hot tubs, to the incredible retro games room, the whole place has everything you could need. There's a BBQ, a full catering kitchen, a large dining area, numerous lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, a whole apartment, and a beautiful outdoor area. The only thing better than the pub is the hosts, Cara and Marcus. They made sure that we had everything we needed for the entire of our stay. No request was too much - they were always on hand to help in any way possible, but also gave us all the privacy we needed. They are a credit to the venue, and the venue is a credit to them. They have put so much work into making the pub a special retreat and it really shows. We would absolutely, highly recommend staying here for large gatherings or parties - you won't regret it! Rooms: The rooms are all well equipped, decorated nicely and keep the original character of the old pub. Most are en suite, with a few having a separate, but private bathroom. The master suite is incredible, with amazing views, a separate lounge, and a huge balcony. The apartment is also amazing, with it's own kitchen and lounge.

Nearby activities: Anchor's Drop is right on the beach - perfect for walks. Minehead is a short walk. But there's almost no reason to stray too far from the extensive grounds.

Food & drinks: Bring your own food and drink. Cara and Marcus are happy to arrange anything you need, including barrels for the bar and accepting deliveries of food before you arrive. There is a full catering kitchen and ample fridge, freezer and storage space. Dishes, glasses, cutlery and utensils are all provided.

Noteworthy details: The outdoor area is amazing. There's 2 hot tubs, one big one and a gigantic swimming pool style hot tub. Relaxing in them while looking out over the channel is bliss! The games room has pinball machines, arcade machines, a pool table, an old jukebox and a dance machine. There's also a karaoke and jukebox in the main bar, with a sound system throughout.

What a fantastic pub for drinks food and views with a stunning cliff top beer garden dog friendly. staff was so welcoming and friendly .. reasonable price for drinks and food and would highly recommend food was stunning just like the views and large portions.. will definitely come back again

Just wow!! Great pub with the most amazing views across the Bay, lots of tables in the cliff top garden. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Food was superb. There is parking but quite a bit is reserved for the accommodation onsite. There is additional free parking at the bottom of the hill opposite the beach and a 5 minute walk back up the hill. Views are absolutely spectacular- a must do if you’re in the area!

After hearing it was open again and doing food, I wasnt expecting anything amazing, but I was really pleasantly surprised. The food was fabulous! Great menu choices and really delicious home cooked style food! Better food here than we have ever had previously in the many years of visiting the pub! The people on the bar and serving team were really friendly. The views and environment were great. The only thing missing was something to occupy my 3 yr old while waiting for the food. Will be back soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Anchors Drop - The owners, Marcus and Cara were extremely welcoming and helpful, and it was such a treat to stay somewhere so 'dog friendly'. The food was great (the crab was the best my husband had ever eaten apparently) and the sunsets while we ate outside were spectacular. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the fridge in the room was an added bonus. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!!

We ate here on the last night of our stay in the area and it’s a shame we didn’t visit earlier. 

The menu has a small choice of classic pub meals, and each one we tried was delicious. Portion sizes were generous- between us we managed to clean the main meal plates but it was a struggle. Unfortunately we had to admit defeat when faced with huge wedges of chocolate fudge cake. 

And best of all, when we settled the bill, it was only around £20 per head for 2 courses and 2 drinks each!

We stayed here for 6 nights in one of the mobile homes which we chose due to its location and views across the bay. Even before we arrived we received good communication of what to expect and guidance. On arrival at our mobile home it was nice to see that not only was it well prepared but we had a few basics to let us settle in. The views across the bay and the sunsets were amazing that along with the warm welcome from everyone in the Anchors Drop pub made it a great choice and we look forward to returning.
