Visited the Reindeer as a group of 16 to have the Christmas menu with all the office staff. From start to finish we were treated very well. The food and service was excellent. Everyone in the group commented how good it was with myself and others deciding  to return with family/friends to sample some of the weekly choices and carvery on Sunday. Thank you very much for a lovely experience  - will be our first choice for Christmas office lunch for 2024 for sure.

Great hosts, lovely food and excellent service

This was our third time I’ve booked to eat at the Reindeer inn. The last two was fantastic , so we decided to have Sunday lunch, my wife and sister in law ordered turkey , while me and my brother in law ordered beef, bad mistake on our part . our beef was very tough, carrots over cooked. every thing else was fine,

The rooms were very good and the beds very comfortable. Very large rooms so plenty of movement as one couple was disabled and this did help them. The food in the evenings was so good and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The only gripe we had was the breakfast as we were expecting full English but was given late at night even when abed, continental breakfast which we had not chosen as this was by the staff and some did not have the breakfast as we would have liked to choose our selves. Parking was good but you had to get back before night as no room to park.

We went as a group of 5, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, my husband is very fussy about how his steak is cooked but it was perfect. Staff couldn't be nicer. I had fish and chips which was cooked to perfection everyone enjoyed their meals. 

Perfect food in a pub with lovely decor. 

My wfe and I went  just over a week ago with 2 friends only to be met with a wall of noise, it was deafening. After being given a menu, it was another 30 minutes before our order was taken( after I had gone to the bar to point this out). As for the starters, my wife's spring rolls ( 2 ) were barely warm and were like rubber; now we come to the main courses, I had the sea bass which came as a whole fish cut in half plonked on top of the dauphinoise potatoes in a BOWL and my friends wife's lamb shank also served in a BOWL - I can only assume they had run out of plates. Unfortunately we shall not be returning.

How great it is to finally eat out (but in)..! Fabulous beer battered fish & homemade chips complemented with fantastic friendly service.

Visited our son and his partner who live in Epworth and we went to the Reindeer Inn for Sunday lunch.  Can’t praise experience high enough. Service was excellent, greeted on arrival and taken to our pre-booked seats in a quiet but efficient manner.  We all had starters and roast dinner.  I had tomato and smokey bacon soup which came with croutons and hot roll, probably the nicest soup I have ever had.  The roast was also excellent, the wife and I both had pork roast.  You get 2 thick slices of pork with crackling on, 2 roast potatoes, a generous portion of mash, swede and a large Yorkshire pudding all covered in a lovely gravy.  For the 4 of us there was a shared dish of vegetables - red cabbage, carrots, cauliflower in cheese sauce and broccoli - plus a gravy boat.  The quality overall was excellent and we left some veg as we were full.  Can’t praise the food in this pub highly enough and the staff were wonderful.  The last pleasant surprise was the bill which was a lot less than in other pubs who have provided a much poorer experience.  Can’t recommend highly enough.

Best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had in a pub

The slowest service ever. 4 of us, in there in just short of three hours. There was 1 other party of 6 in so they weren't exactly rushed off if their feet. The starters took over the standard 20 minutes waiting time. Then the main meals came out over half an hour after our starters had been cleared. Concluding with us asking for dessert menus and a lemonade. The lemonade approximately 10 minutes later. After 20 minutes of waiting we gave up on the dessert menus ever arriving. Proceeded to ask for the bill and they never brought that over either. Shall not be returning anytime soon...

Terrible

Me and my girlfriend stayed on the 14th of December for my mate's wedding.  All of the wedding was at the Reindeer Inn, and it was fantastic. 
Every room was very elegant and festive (which the Bride and Groom wanted).
Every single dish was lovely. 
The staff was lovely and very friendly. 
The room where we stayed the night was excellent and very clean. 
I'm definitely going to go again for a weekend in the summer. 
Definitely give this place a go if you're near.  

Wedding 

Very poor quality food, service very nice from younger staff but old manageress Mel was very snotty and  described the food as wholesome and tasty when it was bland, cheap and tasteless 2 meals sent back with no refund
