We had a lovely stay at this travelodge. We would stay there again. It was clean, staff were pleasant. Breakfast was good. What more do you need on a break!

Stayed for a weekend and was quite impressed.
Ok, outside looks tired and could do with some TLC, but the staff make up for the first impression you get when arriving
Prepaid for breakfast both mornings and gotta say, it was delicious.
Food hot, nicely cooked and tasty.
Good choice of cold bits, and served with a smile and a singing waitress.

Staff gave excellent service and very friendly.  Cleaning staff very friendly.  Bed comfy.  Shower very good. Plenty of parking

Easy to get to at heart of lake district, cafe really good, simple food done very well, deserts exceptional. Well kept rooms. Best of all staff staff very welcoming, had time for you really cared about customers. Excellent effort from all concerned. 

Nice hotel, and very friendly staff. Room it was big enough, clean and well maintence. About breakfast, it was more than expected, and very flexible on opening times. Parking space just at hotel main entrance, easy access too. Internet it was working well.

Had a lovely stay here very pleased all the staff are lovely and go out their way to help in any way they can ! Shoutout to Alex the assistant manager thanks so much will defo come back again ! Rooms where also always clean and fresh and food was lovely and great price !x

Lovely weekend at this Travelodge. Rooms spacious and comfy, great sleep, excellent breakfasts and exceptional staff who were always really helpful and friendly. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future. 

My stay at the hotel was lovely, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy. The breakfast had plenty of choice. Staff were excellent, alway smiling 😊 . One of the Best travel lodge I've stayed in to date. The Location was good, and the hotel was adequate for my requirements.

We stayed for 5 days in september with our two dogs. everything was very good for us, excellent location, great town, good food. Staff very helpful especially the lovely Charise who took so well to our Lab and Pointer Holly and Milly.  Great stay.

Great stay

Cockermouth travel lodge

Remember this ain't the Hilton. That'll set you straight. Love the place. Basic rooms that do the job well. Staff are excellent. Made to feel at home and cared about. Really worth it. I'd be happy to go there again. For a small bar they served lovely food. Couldn't fault the team. They work hard and cover everything including the food service / bar. Had to book at last minute and got the last room. So glad I found this place. Big thanks to the whole team.

Fabulous experience, well done to all the hardworking staff

This did what I asked of it, provided a no frills cheap night accommodation in a clean welcoming room. The breakfast was good too, good value for money. The staff were friendly and I had a good night sleep in the bed which for me was just right, I noticed some extra pillows in the room but didn't try them, so they could be a softer option if needed.

Pleasant stay. Quiet surroundings. Adequate and free parking. Value for money. No frills but everything you need.

Cheap, but flawed. Charging for more than a few minutes of internet access is not acceptable in this day and age !
Also the shower/ bath base was dirty. Otherwise an ok overnight stay
Location was fine — about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town
