You pay for what you get. Friendly manager. Clean , comfy but basic amenities. Breakfast inclusive. Great location. very close to centre and dock area, just a short walk. Parking available on street, free on weekends. Overall good place to stay.

Comfy, reasonable price and close to centre

This place isnt 5 star, so dont expect much, but if you are after a cheap and clean place to stay in a central location, when resting your head is all you want, then this place is perfect... If you want to relax in the hotel during the day, then why are you in Bristol!!

Cheap and Cheerful

We stayed on a Saturday night whilst visiting a friend in Bristol who lived about 10 minutes walk away, so the location was great for us.  The B & B is about 15 minutes walk from the Harbourside, which is a great venue with lots of restaurants and cafes, and we spent our visit there.  We were not here long enough to see more of the town.  It would be reasonably easy to get into town and I believe there is a ferry service to the station also.  At weekends you can park on the street for free, so that was ideal for us - during the week the lack of parking may be more of an issue so you'd need to investigate.

The B & B itself is clean, and comfortable.  The room was nicely furnished, and there was a lovely array of tea and coffee and biscuits to be had in the room, which was very welcome.  We didn't use the TV, but it was available, and the shower room was clean and easily accessible.  Although it was shared, there are plenty, so you shouldn't be waiting forever for your turn.  It was a bit noisy in the night when used, though, and definitely would wake you up if a fellow traveller used it after you had gone to bed.  Probably no more so than in a non-shared facility though.  The bed was comfortable, but an extra pillow would have been very welcome, one was not really enough.  The whole room was a little dark and the bed side light was not working which we only discovered when we arrived back at night, so we didn't report it at that time of night.  The owners were very nice and I'm sure would have dealt with it had we realised earlier.  Same with the pillows.  But going and ringing a mobile in the middle of the night and disturbing someone didn't feel right.

Breakfast was perfectly fine and exactly what they say it will be.  There was a good choice available, although the croissants were a bit on the dry side and we decided against them.  The individually wrapped pastries were far better and particularly nice slightly toasted.  There was real coffee cafetieres to be had, and juice available, so it was a good meal and for the price it was great.  Being able to help yourself was good, and the system worked well, with no issues.  There was free wifi available which worked well, and plenty of sockets for our gadgets to re-charge.

I've no idea what the rooms are like for those with children.  The self-service breakfast would work well, but I didn't see any sign of high chairs or similar, nor any evidence of equipment such as baby spoons/cups etc.

All in all it was great for our purposes, and for the money was excellent value.  I would stay again if visiting the same area quite happily.  Just ask about pillows when you arrive!

Great location, good value accommodation

Not what we were expecting from the discription  but the room,although in need of revamp, was clean and bed comfortable. Was expecting a private bathroom for the price we paid . Pleasantly surprised to find gluten free bread and real coffee for breakfast .

Not exactly river view !

My partner and I spend 2 nights here this week. The rooms were clean and the complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise! It's in a good location, not too far a walk into town. 

The only thing I would say is that the hallway and the doors are rather outdated and could do with a spruce up.

Also, it would have been nice to have more than one pillow. As we were only here for a short stay it wasn't really an issue but had we been here for longer we'd have liked another one.

Overall great location, clean rooms and a good price! Would definitely recommend :)
