Hi, just found a little gem of a pub in Bridgnorth. The Bear  Inn, just by  the Sports Centre in High Town. Friendly hosts and barstaff, good old fashined pub with pool, darts, dominoes and above all very cheap beers  eg, John Smiths £1.85 a pint !! Sky TV everywhere you look and also a fantastic beer garden at the rear. Only drawback is they dont serve food, but that is what you expect from a traditional boozer. Well worth a visit

Small pub,  big welcome

Ive been here twice in last few months for drinks The location is perfect. Friendly comfortable local bar. Pool table etc. Cant comment on food.  Good value prices similar to wetherspoons over the road. Friendly staff. 

Great evening in proper local pub 

The pub has been refurbed and is very comfortable, it is the cheapest for beer in bridgnorth. The managers are very friendly and all the staff are excellent. The beer is always good quality. It is a sports bar with tvs showing all top sports. It does not serve food . Well worth a visit.

Great value pub

Used to be a music pub but not any more. Now after the refurb it's a sports bar. Called in for a pint this evening and found the place lacking in any character. Looks like they only sell lager, with a pint of Grolsh at £3.95 which is expensive for Bridgnorth. Ok it's my nearest pub but I won't be going back. Shame.
I believe they have also stopped accommodation.
If you like big tv's and pool then fine.

Refurbished pub

went to Bear Inn for rock festival  and really enjoyed staging of bands on beer garden stage . Did a great job and enjoyed  a few pints of local beer.
Would definitely visit again for a few pints in beer garden.

BEER GARDEN HOSTS ROCK FESTIVAL

My friends and i stayed at the bear inn and will NEVER be staying there again . When we were showed the room we were told how the people before had done "some" damage to the room . I have never stayed in anything like this before.  The room was unsafe and unclean . There is a few steps up to a bit of a kitchen area . There wasnt any tea or coffee available as stated . To walk down the stairs you have to hold on to a very unstable headboard ( which apparently the guest before broke). It was very cold and damp in the room . We put the electric faux log fire on and a heater they gave us . The electric kept tripping every time we put the fire on. Shabby chic it wasnt but shabby it was. 
When we returned from our night out there was a couple having sex outside our room . 
When we booked the room it clearly stated that breakfast was included.  I was up early the next morning and there was nobody around. The pub was locked. I tried ringing but no-one answered. We left the bear inn at 10am and had to leave the key with our friend as there eas nowhere to post the key  
Ive complained to late rooms who we booked with and they did speak to the landlord who said he would reimburse me a nominal amount for the breakfast. I emailed my card details which up to now i have not had a refund
 Late rooms have sent him several emails which he has not responded to.
