Not a B and B anymore, but still the best little self catering bothy you can imagine - can be booked via Airbnb.  We are losing count of the number of visits, all of which have been delightful in every way.  Graeme and Shona are the best hosts.  Comfortable, well equipped, lots of lovely little decorations, peaceful, close to motorway.  What is not to like?

We were there for 2 nights over the weekend of the 10th November and the place is immaculate, smells amazing, has every convenience you can think of ( thoughtfully provided) and is in a beautiful setting near the small town of Moffat in Dumfrieshire. 
Plenty of hot water, excellent water pressure too. Beds are super comfortable, lots of snuggly blankets about, books, games, dvds and a big free view TV. 
There's space for your hiking boots, lots of clothes space too. 
Just lovely. 
We loved our weekend here and we can't wait to return.

We have stayed here again recently in the bothy with the breakfast hamper. Once again  we cannot praise this place enough. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to overnight and  the hamper provided is fantastic. I have lost count how many times we have stayed at Cauldholm and we will continue to do so as it is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Shona and Graeme are lovely people and make you feel so very welcome. Thank you for having us once again we love the bothy.

Stayed here on our way to the Hebrides and on our return journey. Shona and Graeme made us very welcome. We stayed in the Bothy which is adjacent to the main house and provides excellent and well-appointed accommodation which could also be rented on a self catering basis. Enjoyed a superb breakfast.

Gorgeous location . Very rural but very close to the amenities of Moffatt and right on the Annandale Way for lovely walking. 
It’s just lovely. Fabulous comfy bed , powerful shower. Lots of very kind and useful touches . The breakfast tray (so much more than that !) is just fabulous . Fresh farm eggs included. 
I just broke a very long journey here but it deserves a proper stay and I’ll definitely be back to do that . 

We stayed here for one night on our way North to the Isle of Mull. What a great find, welcoming and friendly hosts, and spotlessly clean. We stayed in the 'Bothy' which meant we had almost a separate apartment for the night. Leather settees, kitchen and an upstairs bedroom. A very restful stay. Breakfast was lovely and we would have stayed here on our return trip home but they were fully booked. Would certainly recommend.

What a lovely place to stay. Would love to show you the pictures I took but they are too big for this review site. I just can't praise Cauldholm enough and as for the breakfast, wow. I ran out of time eating it as I had to go to work.

We have visited Cauldholm on many occasions over the years and the place is still an absolute gem of a bed and breakfast. The bothy accommodation is brilliant and of course dog friendly. Shona and Graeme are fantastic hosts and serve the most wonderful breakfasts. Along with their new addition puppy Jess Cauldholm is sooo fabulous every time. In fact to us it feels so homely and relaxing thank you all.
The Moffat area is lovely too with the spitfire in a front garden and the very dog friendly towns of Moffat and Biggar, plus the scenery along the road around Megget reservoir it’s hard to beat. Love the area, love Cauldholm what more can I say?

We have stayed at a few B&B's in the last year, both in this country and in Europe and this one is by far the best. We stayed in the Brothy, with our dog. Once on the way to Inverness and again on the way home.  We received a friendly welcome by both Shona and Graeme, when we arrived and they showed us around.  The accommodation was far larger than it looked on the pictures and the standard of furnishing are very high. There are lots of extras not normally seen in a B&B including TV's in all rooms, large shower, DVD's etc. Breakfast is delicious, especially the fruit pots.  We would love to go back soon and stay for longer next time.
