room was very poor quality, i did not go to bath nor toilet even after a long travel from plane. 
There were so many small coackroches dancing on the bed. Did not sleep whole night. 
Breakfast was a very sweet tea and they do not provide tea without sugar, could not drink that. 
what a horrible holiday?? Please dont book here.

very bad experience

The price was really good, even though I booked at the last minute. It's definitely not the fanciest hotel around, nor the cleanest, but still ok when you consider that the price was reasonably low and with Dubai being an expensive city

Very dirty place
Once the internet was not working. I asked gently the reception for a solution. It was late at night. The manager told me to go out to find a solution in the dark night... 
Definitely worse hotel I have ever visited.

Do you like jail cells ? Do you enjoy exotic insects ? Do you adore filth ? Are you fond of the smell of feet ? Do you dig the plague ? Does the dances of bed bugs give you the vibe ?
If your answers for all those question is a big yes, then you're off to your dream land.
There's a big difference between a 1 star cheap hotel and wanting to make something awful. There is no reason to what Shalimar Park Hotel is what it is. The already have the resources to make it "liveable", but yet they choose not to.

HOUSE KEEPING:
There are two guys working as house keeping, but all they do is rest all day, go to their prayers 5 times a day, and sleep very early to wake up early the next day (I did actually follow them to see what they did out of curiosity).

RECEPTION: 
The guy in the reception wasn't actually bad or rude at all with me (even though he doesn't seem friendly at all), he was a bit helpful and gave me directions and tips on where to get stuff (as far as his knowledge led him).

THE ROOMS (A.K.A THE HORROR):
A friend of mine was unfortunate and had to spend 2 weeks in jail, when I asked him how it was he said "Everything was pretty normal until the night came, then they put you up in a cell and lock it, that's when you feel it". I texted him that night and told him I understood what he felt at that time.

THE BATHROOM (THE PLAGUE):
I can't say anything more than it's not even suitable for animals.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD:
Absolutely not, this is one of the worst rated places in Dubai.

In conclustion, run away..run far..run fast..for your life..

The horror

Two people at reception one guy was helpful other guy was not so much 
easy location for people who goes there for wholesale business.bathroom was very bad that water flowing from the sink to the floor.but considering the price its not bad for the money a-privet place to stay but that's all .WI fi is not fast at all

Easy Location ,cheapest privet room accommodation i could find in Dubai

Very poor service. The reception staff was very rude. Everybody who decide to stay here, please note that they take the original passport while you stay there. They release it only upon check out. Very poor in service & cleanliness.

Only good thing is cost. It's cheap.

Very poor in facility & service

It was a brief layover. The hotel is right in the middle of Deira market or one of its main streets, it has a high foot traffic so I'm thinking they must be doing something right. My room was spacious. I had a queen bed, just perfect for the few hours i actually lay in it. AC worked well. TV worked. Had soap and shampoo. I left too early for the airport so I didn't experience breakfast. Rashid helped get a taxi. Thank you 

But yo What's with the no-door at the hotel entrance? They legit have a seethru polyester fabric that looked like a shower curtain

Not bad for what it cost

Though I had seen the reviews, and made myself up for it, this place was even worse. The pictures shown here do not reflect the correct details. My problems started the moment I entered the hotel. I was delayed and though  the driver did not know the exact location, we were able to leave it easily, thanks to Google Maps.
The first thing the driver told me that he cannot park it there as they don't have any area to drop passengers. I quickly removed my bags, and went to the lobby. And I knew I was not in the right place. 
Nothing was professional about anything...! 
I was allocated a room. No one came to help me with my bags. When I asked, someone came along.. 
Opened the allocated room - a gush of foul smell came out. I asked the guy who accompanied me and he is like.. "Is it? ".
Told him to change the room. He quickly went to the reception and bought keys off another room. This was little better. Took it.. 
The guys at the reception are rude, the hotel is dirty, infested with bugs, the a/c was old and every time I put it on, there was a foul smell which used to come, and the breakfast had only bread and omelet everyday. 
All in all, a property which is at best avoided..
