What was good
Some good pros to this hotel. One was the great deal I got via Zen. Pool area is great for Dubai, Nice sunbeds lots of outside pool area space, Nice rooms furnished modern. Food was good.
What was bad
Service is really hit and miss which was a shame. It started at the point at checkin. Confussed reception area,argued I was BB, in fact I booked HB ( asking me for paperwork, confirmation etc ) really .. its 2023 who carries paper. Pre arranged a late checkout , again didnt know wasnt on the reservation ( I had email confirmation ) Told dinner was a la carte ( it wasnt it was buffet ) ok no problem but why does one person say one thing and the reality is another.. its not a huge hotel to know this fact. Have to register yourself at the restuarant.. no problem ( but waited for Jessica for 9 mins to finnish her phone call at the resturant desk ) I didnt wait any longer and just walked in .. as did the previous guest in front of me who got feed up also. Went to the coffee bar downstairs for a cold coffee ( had no clear plastic cups left ) Hit and miss pool service for drinks. Didnt walk around and ask.. you had to go to ask him. Not proactive , shame as you would think the hotel wants to make money. AED 44 (€11 ) for two soft drinks ( small cans 330ml ) expensive ! Had a balcony room facing the highway, but a balcony with one chair outside ( we were 2 persons ) had to ask to fix it. Area is far from anything. Its a taxi to everywhere. Its just a strange location. Nothing walkable in the heat. Even a taxi to metro station, hotel offers bus services but not enough slots. F&B manager came round to ask if all was OK ( he ran round the whole pool in about 2mins flat ) wasnt really asking anything and spending time to gain feedback he needs, another shame. This hotel could be really great, but service detail and staff mindset lets it down. Offered my feedback on checkout , to which they seem surprised.
