Whenever i feel stressed all i need to do is close my eyes and remember one of the many lazy peaceful days i've spent at the Yilmaz. It's a small beachfront hotel that i feel is a true taste of Turkey. Yasemin and her family always give me a lovely welcome. I always like to try to find places like this when visiting a country, it's so peaceful it's hard to believe Bodrum is only a short dolmus ride away - which goes from the top of the lane. There's a lovely pool which is cleaned everyday where i try to swim off some off the yummy cakes cooked fresh every teatime by Yasemin. Breakfast is served buffet style overlooking the bay and there is a menu available throughout the day and evening. The food is so tasty and healthy, mainly Turkish, that is a far cry from the "all day breakfasts and carveries" served in the bigger resorts. Whenever i've been to the Yilmaz i have travelled alone and stayed nearly three weeks at a time. The very first time i went i think Yasemin wondered if i would get bored by myself - well no chance. There is always something to catch your eye, people strolling along the beach front path, boats coming and going and of course a whole peninsula to explore if that's what you want. Yasemin will happily give you all the information you need to get around and provide you with tips of what to see. 
The hotel itself is so well loved and cared for, spotlessly clean with gorgeous flowers, trees, plenty of sun loungers, beachside dining and huge comfy cushions to chill out on. I love going to Yilmaz, and try to get out there at least once a year, in fact i can't wait for my next trip. Try it you will come away relaxed, well fed, happy and probably with a memory of a fantastic experience.

Such a peaceful environment with delicious food and friendly hosts! Makes you feel like you are at home and lets you enjoy your vacation at its best! 
Rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel has the pool or seaside option to relax and refresh.

i cannot praise this hotel highly enough it has all you want for a chill out holiday , Yasemin and family are fantastic she is a brilliant host and just a lovely lady the hotel is situated right on the small beach and cars are not aloud along the front of the hotel so its great for children it also has kids pool and large adults pool food is fantastic and portions are well filling views are fantastic and at night the marina just up from hotel comes to life with fantastic sights in the night sky i have been a few times and will be returning soon to a place i have fallen in love with both my wife and i cant say enough about Yilmaz hotel and all we say is this is the Ortakent chill out hotel and Yasemin will make you more than welcome ,

A family friendly beach hotel in Ortakent (Bodrum)

We wanted a quiet and peaceful week on the Turkish coast with good food, comfortable rooms and a pool.   We found it.   Ortakent is a few miles from the package holiday nightlife of Bodrum.   It is a pleasant resort.   But the special attraction of Yilmsaz hotel is that there are no roads within a few hundred yards and none between hotel and beach, just a footpath.   So no traffic and few people.   
The hotel is very comfortable and well established.   We had a double room overlooking an excellent and spotless pool, which sits in a pleasantly shaded garden. We took half board but ended up eating there most of the time.   Food was excellent.   Restaurants are a few minutes walk away.   The sea is just across the footpath,  and you can eat at a table right beside the sea.   There is not much beach but there is an easy walkway made of what seems like astroturf to get you into the water.   We did not go anywhere apart from one day out.   
We felt very much at home,and owner Yasmin was always there,speaking fluent English,and she made our stay very comfortable.   It is very much a family hotel and there were several Turkish families often with children, with impeccable manners, staying there.

If you want a family holiday in a family atmosphere,it is the place to go.   If you are lookingfor wild nightlife, it is not.   We would happily go again.
