Fantastic
15143 reviewsWhat an amazing hotel. This was our 18th visit to The Voyage, so it's obvious that we like it, but I'm glad to say the The Voyage doesn't rest on its laurels as it continues to make, and add, improvements every year. The rooms are tasteful, comfortable and kept clean. The supplied toiletries areluxury brand L'Occitane. The hotel practises an eco friendly concept and has made great efforts to reduce and replace single use plastics with paper wrappings etc and recycle. The grounds are beautiful, spacious and kept immaculately. Premier brand drinks, super choice of wine and quality cocktails. We particularly liked the Lamberti Italian Merlot. The food in the buffet is extensive and if you can't find something delicious and different every night then I don't know what else you could possibly want. The hall is divided into different stations with individual cuisines on each; Traditional Turkish (my favourite overall - Tokapi chicken was sooooo tasty) Indian - authentic and glorious. Chinese - crispy chicken is amazing. Italian - even including "pasta alla route" (look it up if you don't know what it is!) Yum Fish - bream, bass, salmon, tuna, shellfish to name just a few. Roasts - turkey, lamb, chicken, beef. Fabulous jus with herbs. Grills - kebabs, burgers, steaks, wings etc Charcuterie - lovely smoked meats. Soups - at least 3 different every night. Tarhana was my favourite. Salads - huge selection. Pide, pizza and other amazing breads. Gluten free section Children's section. The buffet definitely is NOT "Samey," but if you look at all of the above every night and put a lot of it on your plate each night then it will get familiar. At home, I don't put bolognese, jalfrezi, sweet & sour and pizza on my plate at one sitting but I've seen many people do this. There were so many different delicious dishes that I just didn't get to try them all at the end of my 2 weeks - maybe next time! The a la cartes are fantastic and worth the little bit extra. There are many different places, apart from the main restaurant, to get food in the day too - from subs to burgers and a lot in between. Fridges dotted around with branded ice creams Twisters, Magnums etc and also ice cream in the Patisserie bar. The Patisserie is by far the best we've ever come across. Often in other hotels we find the cakes are different sizes, shapes and colours (look gorgous) but are bland and taste very similar but not at the Voyage. They are proper high end, Patisserie cakes, crafted well and so beautiful. Upstairs, there's a chocolatier too with Artisan chocolates - I liked the ones with cranberries. I'm gluten intollerent and had a meeting with Aylin the nutritionist. She's extraordinarily knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. All food is labelled with allergen content plus there's a QR code too if you want to double check ingredients. GF bread is kept behind the bread counter to eliminate cross contamination from other guests. I asked about the St Sebastion (Burnt Basque) cheesecake, as some can be made with cornstarch, so Aylin checked with the chef who said it, unfortunately, wasn't so they made me one to order. It didn't matter where I ate in the evenings because if I wanted a slice for dessert then it was delivered to wherever I was. Extraordinary service. The hotel took great care to ensure that my intollerence didn't cause me any anxiety and that I could eat safely. Our WhatsApp assistants Sarvenaz and Faig were both professional and very friendly. They sorted out absolutely everything from my goose feather pillows to all our a la carte bookings. Nothing was too much trouble. Sarvenaz always came for a friendly chat if she saw us. The live band shows this year are terrific. Birol Tokat, Gōrkem Dormaz, Murat Alpsū and Apocalypse gave great performances and had the place jumping. The beach bar also has live music mid-afternoon on a Friday too. I know that staff call outs are of no use to people using these reviews to help them decide upon a hotel but they do help the staff themselves to get the recognition that they deserve. ALL the staff are totally amazing at The Voyage and can't do enough to help you and genuinely want you to have the very best holiday. There are actually too many to include them all so this is a very pared down list. Faith - a perfect gentleman who always goes the extra mile. Necati - duplex snack Zeynaph - Barroom Sercan - barman Taner, Savas, Hüseyin, Deniz, Uruc and Yusuf - dining Hatice - family beach toilets. She keeps them immaculate (no mean feat at the beach) and always with a smile. Yasin - Entertainment Mehmet & Emrah - reception. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday and look forward to our 19th visit.
