We stayed here for a week in a 1 bedroom apartment downstairs. It was great! The place was spotless, has satelite TV, Aircon, netted windows and you can hire a car for $55TOP. 
A well appointed kitchen which met all our needs, the bathroom was huugge and the bed was comfy.
The place is central to some great restaurants and is about a 10min stroll to downtown. Its right across from the waterfront and on the quiet side of the palace. Avril is super helpful and they accommodated us coming a little early and leaving a little late. Will be back here for sure. 

Tip: If you organise an airport shuttle, the fee will be added to your hotel account. If you pay the driver, consider that a tip to the driver because you’ll still be charged by Villa Apartments for the service. 

Absolute Gem, Will Likely Stay Here Again

Stayed here for 4 nights .
Made a great base for doing our whale diving .
Picked up in the morning by whale team and gone from 8am to 5pm . Big days .
The advantage of this place is that it’s very central , lots of restaurants within walking distance . Town not far away . 
Water directly across Vuna road from us . 
Rooms are quite nice , although we had to sleep with windows shut and a/c on as there was a lot of smoke and dogs barking at night . 
The only downside was , we organised with them to be picked up at airport . No one showed , had to get a taxi 🚕.
Also organised to be dropped at wharf for Fafa island , again no show .
Fortunately the housemaid had a van that could accomodate us and drop us off . 
Don’t know who was at fault , but it’s not good enough . Particularly if you had to catch a plane . 

Nice , would stay again 

The villa apartments are well located; an easy walk to the town centre. They overlook the ocean.  We saw fishing pigs there most afternoons. I really appreciated the neighbourhood sounds of pigs & roosters, because it's not completely removed from the 'real' Tonga. 
Kim & his team keep the apartments clean & well serviced. Cleaner by far than one of the main hotels in town. 

Clean & spacious by the sea

I stayed for a month in Villa Apartments (different to Villa Lodge which is on the other side of town). The apartments are located in a large house set back from the lagoon on the westside of the Kings Palace. Nearby eateries are SeaView which has a nice deck for a glass of wine or two, and Little Italy for pizza and pasta. Further west down the road is Little India, which is worth a visit. The Villa Apartments are all different configurations but the two upstairs lagoon facing apartments are undoubtedly the best (finances permitting). The manager Lorna was extremely helpful. She took me into town and did a quick orientation to the bakery, market and other shops and answered any questions I had. She is a great asset to this place.

Great place to work from. Lorna and Noka are very helpful. Comfortable and modern although there were a few things that needed fixing in my apartment. Will miss it after 3 months, as it did feel like home.
