Sangsuree Bungalow

Where do I even start. We booked this very last minute after we took a trip to Patong and wanted somewhere relaxed and luxurious to stay... we were not disappointed! First of all the staff, Fon was our main host throughout our stay and she couldn’t do enough for us. So polite and helpful, very informative and just faultless in all she did. Upon arrival we were greated with complimentary drinks after having our luggage taken for us. Our villa wasn’t quite ready as we turned up 3 hours early so we were given a beautiful bungalow to relax in whilst we waited. We were then taken to our villa where we were welcomed with an array of fresh fruit which we were told would be prepared upon our request by their chef which we had done later that day and it was just divine! The room was presented beautifully, flowers and decorative towels, aircon on so we walked into refreshing rooms. The fridge was stocked with complimentary water, soft drinks and even some beverages. Our balcony consisted of 2 sun lounges and an infinity pool complete with water jets and also lighting for the evening. The bathroom was equipped with absolutely everything you could ever need such as toothbrushes, towels, shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, gowns, slippers... the list goes on. The villa was exceptionally clean and was also cleaned AND tidied daily when we were out regardless of how late or early we chose to leave for the day, and if we were to have a day in, they would ask what time suited us. Fon let us know about the scooters that they had available to hire (a must around the island) for just 600baht for 2 days (less than £9 per day) and she had these delivered to our door for us. Breakfast was made fresh to order every morning with a wide choice of fresh fruits, yogurts, omelette, all different styles of eggs, cooked meats and smoothies as well as teas, coffees and fruit juices. We sat eating breakfast every morning watching the waves on the private, secluded beach just metres in front of us. If you didn’t wish to travel far for food, there was a restaurant just over the road from our villa searving delicious food morning till night, we ate there almost everyday as it gave us no reason to travel elsewhere for it. They also provided us with access to sea kyaks throughout our stay, totally free of charge which we took advantage of almost daily as it’s such a relaxing way to sit out on the sea and enjoy the spectacular views. Without fail, staff would come and assist us in getting the kyaks to the entry point and help get us out onto the water as well as meeting us upon our return to put them back for us. Free hotel transfers were arranged by Fon, to and from the pier where we got our boat from. I am not normally one to leave reviews, this is probably my 3rd one in my life (the other 2 have been for awful stays elsewhere) but I couldn’t leave this beautiful place without telling you all about it. The price we paid was so small compared to what this place could charge... it is 5* luxury and believe me when I have stayed at some of the most luxurious hotels in the world, so I do not make that comment lightly. If you are visiting the beautiful island of Koh Yao Yai, make sure you choose this fantastic venue. Thank you again to all of the staff who made this trip truly wonderful!
