Stayed here for a few nights as part of a tour. It's located near a street full of bars and restaurants but tucked down a side road (not well lit at night). It was quiet and comfortable as a place to shower and sleep between sight seeing. They provided a light complimentary breakfast of sweet cake and roti in the morning, when hot and fresh the roti was delicious. There was no lift, no safe and the TV didn't work but that was manageable but worth keeping in mind based on your needs.

Great value with large and basic rooms

This is the second time I have stayed at this property, the first time was roughly five or six years ago.

This is a very typical Thai / Asian style budget hotel. The room is a bit sparten and utilitarian but comfortable and clean enough. The air-conditioning, hot water, refrigerator all worked just fine. The linen, bedding, towels, etc were in good condition. There is sufficient parking for those who self drive. All things considered, a perfectly good choice for a visit to Kanchanaburi.

However, at a walk-in rate of 800 THB, I believe this property is a bit over priced particularly when you consider how few tourists there are in Kanchanaburi at the moment.

Pretty average for the price

This review represents the third and fourth times this year I've stayed at P and P Place. Rooms are large and basically clean, I wouldn't say sparkling clean. Bed is a bit too hard, but typical. Also in the room are table and chairs, wardrobe, fridge, small flat TV (no useful English channels), AC, bathroom with hot water, and a balcony with sink and clothes dryer. No kettle (coffee is available at reception). No real view unless you are on floor 3 at the ends of the building. Staff are excellent - very kind and helpful. Depending on where your room is located, you may find the noise from the bar next door to be a bit of a problem. They shut down around midnight though, not too late. Overall location is excellent, with food and drinks all down the street in both directions. As I've said before, I feel the place is just a bit overpriced for what you get, but good enough that I keep coming back.

Good Choice

This is a no frills hotel. It simply offers a bed, a fridge and a walk in shower. 
You can sit outside by your front door but there plenty of mosquitos. 
It is located to some amenities and it's quite cheap to get taxis or tuktuks.
The ladies there are welcoming and are always offering fruit or coffee when you are there. I didnt have to pay either.
Overall, it is not luxury but for people who are on a small budget. 
It took me 20 mins to get to the Bridge of River Kwai walking from there.

Good value for money if on a budget

My stay at P and P Place went very well. Manager was kind and helpful; every time she saw me she asked if there was anything I needed. Room was clean, spacious, and functional, with fridge, table/chairs, dressing table, wardrobe (no safe box), firm (uncomfortably firm) bed, very small TV (one useless English channel), cool AC, and a rear patio. Drab and unimaginative furnishing though, with no decorations and thus an echo chamber effect. Can get noisy if your neighbors are partying (and they were). Bathroom had hot water and a separate shower area, thus hooray for a dry floor. Ground floor room had a small window but no view. The hotel is a little tricky to find down a narrow alley. Managed to wiggle my car down the alley and into one of 10 parking spaces. There is no restaurant on site, but there are many choices for food out on the main road. No kettle in the room. They do offer hot water and packets of 3-in-1 at reception. I enjoyed sitting in front of the room in the morning having coffee and listening to the bird song. All in all though I thought the price was a bit high for what was included. A small investment on their part could bring the place up to standard for the price. 



Good place, could be better

We enjoyed two nights comfortable stay here. The hotel is in a great location, close to food, bars, shops and only a fifteen minute walk to train station. The rooms are big, bed comfortable and room clean. 

The only downside of this hotel was the bathroom, it had a very horrible smell coming from it and needed a bit of an extra clean - toothpaste all over the taps, mirror and dirty stains all over the toilet. If it wasn't for those few things I would have given it five stars.

Overall comfortable for a few nights though, and a great price.

Good for two nights

This is a basic hotel located near tourist attractions, restaurants, within walking distance to the bridge and railway (worth a visit); the owner is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. It is a good place to stay if you need a room with a bed and plan on touring the area. 

Good location

We stayed there for a couple of nights. It's within walking distance of most attractions. Many places to eat all around and also close to the market. The rooms are big and very clean. The shower and airconditioning works very well and there is also free coffee and free wifi that works very well. The staff are very friendly and it is not expensive. This is a great place to stay.

What a great place !

It was the best Choice to come here... the room was spaceious and verry clean... the staff kind and friendly... specially the room cleaning lady... i highly recommend this hotel... its close to the river kwai bridge and other Attractions... nightlive just arround the corner... but cant hear anything in the room... pretty silent.

Verry nice place

P&P Place is a clean, quiet and friendly place to stay.  It's close to the main strip so easy to find places to visit; eat and drink at. With free wifi; car parking and friendly staff I can highly recommend P&P Place.
